So fun! And so easy! I think I might give it a shot! Is that sparkle dust available at a regular grocery store? Or maybe in the cake-decorating section at Walmart? PS. I thought about you today when I was making my birthday cake. It was from a box mix and I felt so ashamed, lol. Maybe next year, I'll try one from scratch!

Oh, I just love love that little baby Jesus cookie!! I'm not brave enough to make cookies from scratch (at least not to send to the kiddos' classes, ha!), but I will be making some of your royal icing tonight to decorate some refrigerated sugar cookies. I love how easy it is!

Hope ya'll have loads of fun and a safe trip!! Definitely do some pics and updates along the way! I'm guessing ya'll will drive through Georgia?!? I'll do a virtual wave to ya! Wonder if you'll come near our teeny tiny town? Hubby and I will be in Savannah all weekend, though, on a mini-honeymoon. (8.5 years of marriage + 3 kids later, we're finally able to go away alone for the weekend!! I'm SO excited!). Have a safe trip!! :-)

So, so sweet of you! And the cookies are amazing, as usual! It simply baffles me how you write so neatly with a bag of icing--just blows my mind! And I'm sure I speak for many: I'd consider it an honor to receive some of your cookies!! ;-)

I am most definitely NOT a baker, but you always make it seem so easy and pleasurable that I'm inspired to try. :-)

Eeek--love the puzzles!! My big girl is a puzzle fanatic, so that's a must have! The coloring books are just precious, too--and what a great price! Thanks for sharing Frecklebox--I've gotten lots of great (and inexpensive!) gift ideas. :-)

That's precious! I love it when my kids speak freely about Jesus. It's such a blessing watching their hearts grow with love for Him. And they make up nonsensical knock-knock's, too--and often in the car. It's hilarious!

Never heard of it, either! We usually stick to cheese and peanut butter on our Ritz's. :-) Huge fans of of Lawry's, though. I use it on a lot of different things.

Must be french toast season. ;-) I made some this morning, too. I actually used pumpkin pie spice and brown sugar in my egg/milk mixture and oh. my. word. was it AMAZING!! I also used a whole grain bread and that added another layer of flavor. And I also soaked the bread for a few minutes, too, and cooked it in a bit of butter, which I don't usually do. It was the best french toast I'd ever made. Didn't even need syrup! Hubby surprises are the best! :-) Have a good night!!

We fry summer squash and oh my!! I just do it the way my Granny did: slice thinly, coat with salt/pepper, let set a few minutes then flour and fry. It's insane how much squash I've eaten this way in my lifetime.

I will most definitely keep reading your blog. I first found you because of your baking, but I've kept reading because of your obvious love for Christ. He resonates through everything you write. I do completely understand the route you're taking. Just this week, I've made a change to my blog also; a shift of goals, a change of purpose. I've felt more at peace with my blog than I ever have, so I can appreciate your transition. (((((Hugs))))))

Positively gorgeous!! I've been loving a blue/green combo lately--the color of crisp summer leaves against brilliant sky. You captured it perfectly. :-)

I'm pretty much relishing having an unknown blog. I don't publicize, promote, advertise or attempt to make any money from it whatsoever. I love the freedom of just being able to write (my first love) and photograph (a new love) all my greatest loves (the hubs and kiddos). It's immensely fun and I'm glad there's no blog standards to drag me down. Back in college, a friend and I hosted a fairly popular online journal and it was SO much fun--at first. We had tons of readers, made some great online relationships, and learned a LOT! But, the pressure to update so frequently, then the appearance of some "haters" finally led me to just close the domain and move on. Now, I'm unknown and drama-free and wouldn't have it any other way. I'm finding that I'm not reading many "big" blogs anymore (yours excluded, of course!). With all the advertising, the compensation from sponsors, etc., I'm not so sure that what I'm reading is actually authentic. I like honest, insightful blogs, not ones that are getting paid to write.

You are *seriously* talented! I don't think I could decorate a cookie that neatly if it was the size of Texas! Love the wedding cake ones with the teeny couple on top--amazing! And the FB ones are super fun. Maybe you should make some twitter cookies #andmailthemtoallyourfollowers :-)
