I have a combination microwave/convection oven I adore. Talk about a multitasker - it can do everything a regular oven (or a toaster oven) does, as well.
As a seltzer-drinking household, our carbonator has changed our lives! No more hauling home bottles (or cases) of water, no empties to recycle. And it can make your seltzer as wildly or gently fizzy as you prefer. The latest model is smaller and more elegant than the one pictured about.
Cuisinart's Smart Power Duet is a single base with both blender and food processor attachments. I love mine.

The ideal staycation for me would mean taking a fresh look at my city (Philadelphia) and viewing it like a tourist would. There are wonderful things to do here that most residents ignore. I've worked within a few blocks of the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall for three years, and never visited either one, for example. So that's how I'd spend a staycation.

I started with Blog365 in 2008, having posted something nearly every day the year before.
Some days I had to dig deep, but I liked ultimately feeling free to just post whatever. I used to take my time and really craft my posts, but since I had to just do it when it came to writing for my grad program, I became much less precious about it.
So I've done it again in 2009 (knock on wood - there's one month to go).
