Love it! I seriously need a sewing machine. I originally wanted to make cloth diapers, ha!
I'm intrigued by the drawing next to the hearts. Did you make that? Did you post about it?
Tuesday To Do | Easy Book Page Garland
A few weeks ago while hunting in an as yet unpacked box in the garage, I came across a pile of hearts cut out from vintage book pages. I have a very vague memory of cutting them out for a Valentine's Day project last year, but I can't remember any details of what I meant to use them for. So I ...
It's my first time visiting your blog and so touched by this photo. I have a small boy too and can't imagine. Just wanted to give you and your handsome boy a virtual hug.
I can bring the flowers to daddy...
We made another visit to Eric's gravesite this week. I don't know why, but I feel closer to Eric when at his resting place. Knowing that he's literally "there", in the physical sense, makes baring his absense slightly easier. I even secretly tell myself that quite possibly, he's listening, o...
What a great way to use sequins! Had to pin this layout! (yelppuppy)

Wow that dress is so cute! I bought a dress yesterday for a wedding this weekend from jcrew, but yours is way cuter!
Five on Friday.
Five of my favorite phone photos this week! 1. Mike's new kicks! You gotta love a man in robin's egg blue shoes (or maybe that's just me!) 2. Riely reading at dinner. A good way to multitask (and distract her from the fact that she's eating cauliflower.) 3. Spring tulips. Mike says fresh...
Great post! I didn't know their office is right in SF! I wonder if they're open for public. It does look like a church (because it was) and it's hilarious.
Preserving The Internet... and Everything Else
In Preserving Our Digital Pre-History I nominated Jason Scott to be our generation's digital historian in residence. It looks like a few people must have agreed with me, because in March 2011, he officially became an archivist at the Internet Archive. Jason recently invited me to visit th...
Thank you for sharing this! I've known 3 people whose email or server got hacked this week alone, and sure scared the heck out of me! I'm now 2-step verified thanks to you. :)
Hope your twins are doing well. I'd love to see some updates on them!
Make Your Email Hacker Proof
It's only a matter of time until your email gets hacked. Don't believe me? Just read this harrowing cautionary tale. When [my wife] came back to her desk, half an hour later, she couldn’t log into Gmail at all. By that time, I was up and looking at e‑mail, and we both quickly saw what the re...

American Crafts :: Cards :: Dear Lizzy
Happy Monday, everyone! It was a busy, busy weekend for us. We drove 6.5 hrs to Washington DC for the weekend to meet up with family who was visiting the area from the West Coast. It was a nice time - but I learned several things from this very packed weekend "getaway". Kids probably won't get m...
Oh my goodness, Shannon, you've really outdone yourself. I am speechless. These layouts are perfection! This is the max level of messiness I can tolerate. I love the gray in the first layout, and I have to admit it didn't look good at all before you finished it. I would've discarded it if I did it haha. But your finishing touch is so magical!
Really love the second one too as I love using circles on my layout. They're just such a happy shape!
Memory Keeping Monday: "Our Girly Girl"
Hi! Hope you all had a good weekend. I spent mine scrapping...getting close to a big deadline...almost done. Almost. Love what I made and that makes all the work worth it! Can't wait to share it with you. In the meantime, I have a Memory Keeping Monday layout and video to share. As I mentioned...
No I didn't see it. I thought I'd see it after I hit submit but nothing came up. Is it because you set the blog as only registered users can comment? Well I shouldn't guess since I don't use type pad.
October Afternoon :: Sketch Challenge + Comment Verification Code
Hey everyone! I'm back today with a page I created for October Afternoon for today's Sketch Challenge hosted by the ultra talented, Jill Sprott. I took great liberties with her sketch, and once you see it, you'll see that. However, one thing that this sketch did get me to do, was to reach outsi...
That's fine, as long as it's not impossible to read. Sometimes I have to try 4+ times to pass as a human lol! That's why I use the math type on my blog. Anyone can do 2+3 right? right?

Wow you have such a great attitude! I was so depressed as I was forced to part with my 20s. Your attitude is perfect and I think you'll have amazing 39s, 40s and all decades to come!
Oh start doing yoga to maintain flexibility, which is the first to go as we age lol!
Tell Me...
I've heard over and over again (and from very reliable sources, I'd like to add) that my 30's will be the best time of my life. Oh yeah, give me some of that please. I love the excitement that everyone has about this decade of life. It's making the anticipation bubble and build inside me. S...

Haha, isn't that interesting? I always debate if I should blog all my layouts. But I'm afraid that the layouts I don't like would be more popular.
It must be so cool to stumble upon your layout here and there after so many years!
I noticed that layouts that look good by themselves and in person don't necessary look great online or when lined up with others. This layout for example, is very simple, and that's probably why you didn't think it's special. But the colors are vibrant and cheerful, the embellishments are large, and the colors coordinate well with the photo which is gorgeous by itself. The large scale translates so well when the image is small, and people notice them at a first glance.
I enjoy making layouts with small details, but they don't photograph well and the impact not as dramatic. But they're sure fun to make!
they must really like this layout...
Isn't it funny when a layout gets more attention than you expected? I sometimes find that layouts I love, no one else really does. And layouts that I didn't expect to catch on, do. For example... This layout was originally published in 2007 in Scrapbooks, Etc. I'm not even sure which issue....
I would love a chance! My two peas name is yelppuppy.

Lovely layout!
I really like your site and layouts, so I just added you to my RSS feed reader. However, your feeds are cut off before the photo started, so there's no photo in the RSS feed. That makes it impossible to browse your website from the reader! You may have done it intentionally, but thought I'd drop a line in case you weren't aware of it.
Thanks! :)
