When I was small, I was curious about male anatomy, so I asked my mom to explain the difference between boys and girls. She turned to me and said, "Honey, boys have hoses in their pants and that's how they pee." Needless to say, I was terrified of garden hoses flying out of their pants for years...and always felt weird when I was watering the flowers. It felt...well, wrong.
Birds, Bees & Butts
The Peanut turned six last week (more on that in another post) and I'm quickly realizing that I can no longer answer her questions solely for the benefit of my own amusement. Her curiosity and intellect have reached a stage where the quest for knowledge must be gently nurtured and delicatel...

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro
Two things I've always said I wouldn't do are (1) join Twitter, and (2) sign up for an online dating site. However, this has been a busy summer for me. I won't go into all the details but I've found myself with very little "me" time. When I'm not working, traveling, renovating my apartment, spen...
