Hawks 91, Heat 83
Observations from Friday's 91-83 loss to the Hawks at Philips Arena: This one hurts, with the Hawks now up 2-1 in a season series that concludes with the Heat's road finale. And the Hawks, by far, have the more favorable closing schedu...

Live blog from Dolphins versus Cards today
GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Got here extremely early for today's game between the Dolphins and Cardinals and ran into a former league source now working for the Cardinals. Asked him the real chances of his team trading receiver Anquan Boldin this year. "Zero," he said. "Absolutely zero. I don't know what...

WHAT CHANNEL????? PAY PREVIEW??????
So what's next? Riley speaks (updated)
By extending what, in essence, is a two-year deal to James Jones, and by utilizing virtually all of the remainder of the mid-level salary-cap exception to lock up Mario Chalmers, the Heat essentially has removed itself from the early stages of free agency. ...

PLEASE SOMEONE EXPLAIN THE CAP FOR THE HEAT FOR 2009!!!!!!!!
if you go to HOOPSHYPE and click on Salaries for 2009 the HEAT is at 53 MILLION and that's with MARION's contract at 17 MILLION...
also JAY WIL and RICKY DAVIS are not off the roster for 2009...
Now, if we are at 53 million and that is with I think WADE, MARION, HASLEM, COOK, QUINN, BANKS, BLOUNT (need to trade him) and a few others, why can't we KEEP MARION and sign another TOP FREE AGENT (remember we are at $53mil with MARION) ....isn't the cap like $73mil???
isn't that like another 20 million, with out the 1.5/5 MLE???
and do the rookie have a separate cap???
if we do have the extra 20 million,
sign BARON DAVIS PG, and draft BEASLEY......
TRADE JWIL, RICKY for a big man
TRADE HASLEM/QUINN for BRAND
The rebuilding process ... why wait?
Yes, I know patience has to be a virtue at this point. Understood. But just wondering, especially in light of Shawn Marion shedding no light Friday on his right to opt out after this season: ...
yeah BABY, KEEP LOSING BOYS.....GIVE ME THAT FIRST PCK, but the way our luck is down here, we wont win the lottery.........
Timberwolves 101, Heat 91
Observations from Tuesday's 101-91 loss to the Timberwolves at Target Center: By record, this was the sixth-worst matchup at this point in a season in league history, with the teams entering with a combined 12 victories. The worst with two teams having played at least 30 games apiece was the...
THE HEAT NEED TO MAKE ANOTHER TRADE!!!!
HASLEM was HORRIBLE did I see the box score right??? he was 5 for 20, shouldn't he step it up since Wade is out, I would trade this guy in a HEART BEAT, for another STUD, Haslem is and will always be average, trade JAY WILL, AND DORRELL, also
who's out there????
ARENAS, ARTEST,????????
Pacers 87, Heat 85
Observations from Friday's 87-85 loss to the Pacers at Conseco Fieldhouse: Following up on his vow to get more shooters on the floor, Pat Riley inserted first-round pick Daequan Cook in the first quarter. Yes, Cook played ahead of Smush Parker. As a matter of fact, so did Chris Quinn, who e...
ELTON BRAND!!!!!!! will be on HEAT'S RADAR next year!!!!!!!!!!!!
Davis deal makes sense, plenty of sense
It's difficult to find a downside to Wednesday's trade, other than taking on an extra year of Mark Blount's salary and yielding another first-round pick. The positives The Heat finally has an answer at small forward. Davis not only can score, he...
guys look at DAVIS' FREE THROW %, alone, to me that is something we are over looking.........
also, HEAT are looking for ELTON BRAND next year who will be UNrestricted f/a next year, with JASON, DAVIS' expiring contracts!!!!!!!!!!
