I've always nicknamed it 'Out Journaling'
Art, and Art Journaling Out of Security
One of the things I wrote about in my last blog post was that summer that I grew up in 2002 and I spent a good part of my time making art and selling art. What a glorious summer that was. Part of that glorious feeling, other than my waking at 6am to go to the beach to draw and paint was that I w...
Get a furminator. Look them up on QVC. You can dramatically cut down the hair shedding. I plonk my two in the bath to contain the hair because it's easy to clean and furminate away once a week - twice during coat changing season. It also helps cut down on the allergens.
unidentifiable
I keep taking pregnancy tests because there are no at-home brain tumor tests. Some major shift in my chemical makeup must be going on because I willingly became a cat owner. My beloved leather chairs are wrapped in foil like an olden days Sarah Lee chocolate cake, a ball with bells in it sits at ...
It's awesome how much of your total you've raised, I'm stoked for you guys. You need to learn to tell spiteful people to F*off and remember that if they have enough spare time on their hands to spend it worrying about what you're doing and why and coming up with idiot rumours about it all then their own lives are obviously not very interesting. If I had a dollar for everytime you've done something over and above for someone else, or 'worked for chocolate' instead of what the job is worth, I'd have enough money to top that total up AND come visit.
Good luck with the auction. Hoping to get mermaid finished off after work tonight to send a pic in time for the auction.
thank you
thank you to everyone who sent me well wishes & positive thoughts. I'm just ultra emotional right now. We are grateful and humbled by everyone's words - the words of support and encouragement are everything to us. I have had an awesome birthday - We had our hearing tests - that was an interesti...
Happy birthday chick *hugs*
35 and happy
besides from the whole legal 'right-to-live-in-Canada' madness, I am happy with my life. I have an awesome hubby and two amazing kiddies. I am happy to be 35 years old :) (chinese double Happiness Symbol with Dragon & Phoenix)
Yeah, I totally want to be Felicia Day when I grow up. Or maybe Tink.
current addiction
as you all know by now that we are huge huge gamers in our house and with that comes the fact we are huge fans of "The Guild" well this is currently whats on repeat in our house :) enjoy & support them ...
This is really beautiful, I love it.
SP Learning About My Face
Today I am going to share with you some pictures from my face book. I sewed this book especially for this class called 'Pursuing Portraits' taught by Pam Carriker. This is my second hand sewn book which I've begun painting in. My first is in a round robin started by Monica Zuniga. At the mom...
The postcard tin and sketchbooks need a home with me. Yes they do.
Sabrina is in the building!!
If you have hung in there with me for a while you know I'm not so good with secrets. I've been sharing the anticipated launch of Sabrina Ward Harrison's new PAPAYA! goodies with you for a while but with no place to get your hands on them. (Bad blogger!! Bad.) But how could I hide somethi...
Niiiiice. Well done.
some scrapping news to share
its awesome news for me, but if you go to this blog, you'll see what its all about.... and it involves the words 'Design' and 'Team' and these products :) I am very chuffed about this opportunity and hope to do them proud!
Nice. Very nice. I hope it's available for digital download again.
I don't usually toot my own horn....
in fact, tooting my own horn makes me uncomfortable. It just does. Probably because, like most of us, I have an inferiority complex when it comes to my work. Anyhoo...I about passed out when I saw this today...that's my name & my journal on the cover! Eeek! I can't wait to see it!

Thanks Darla. I did 'cheat' a little and sketch the box in lightly to get the perspective right. If you look closely on the video you can see that.
Not sure how you follow form Blogger to Typepad, I use an RSS reader. But My blog feeds into my Willowing.ning page if that helps :)

Another of Rosie & Marmalade's little adventures. This one is recorded on a new video camera which mama & papa gnome very kindly sent me to use for my workshop. It's so easy to use and it takes fantastic footage. Of course I've only played for a short while with actual filming and need ...

Only played for about 15 minutes but first impressions...
1. The last thing I need is another Facebook, so the first thing I'm hoping to find is a way to bypass that awful, busy dashboard page or at least be able to decide for myself what I want it to show. I personally have no need to see what comments I wrote to other people 5 minutes ago and would like to be able to filter my own stuff out.
2. Navigation is much better once you find everything; file manager and photo albums sections are much improved, accounts/billing section is vastly improved.
3. Stats - I clicked on a page from my own dashboard and it picked up in my stats immediately. This at least shows that my stats are working much better and faster but I'd rather not have my figures skewed by my own reading of bits and pieces.
4. I'm already using the follow on typepad function but only the default suggestions are shown in the follow section.
5. Like the new categories, especially the way it now allows you to add a new category and still select others, which was always a bit cumbersome in the old version.
Overall 4 stars. Will be upgraded to 5 if the dashboard itself turns out to be customisable.
Give us your feedback

That looks awesome but I know for a fact that in this house it would turn into Somewhere The Cat Sleeps in about 5 minutes, no matter how well you hid it!
my studio photo box
becuase we do a lot of art type stuff here at home - and a lot of it is all about the details we've been debating get our own little light box studio set up - like this one from Micro Mark (one of our fav online stores) but its $100+ plus shipping etc so we had a think and decided we could make ...

You pesky kids! Get of my lawn!
HAHA! As someone who a) works from home and b) has an apple tree and c) often wears pyjamas and fails to even brush their hair when at home, I totally get where you're coming from.
knock-ring-knock-ring
Dear Parents of Annoying Kids in my 'hood, The next time your kid rings my doorbell then knocks on my door then rings the doorbell two more times all within 20 seconds, his head better be on fucking fire and there better be a wolf right behind him. It better not be just so he can see if he can ...
