I just would like to point out that there are some lawyers who have mastered the practice aspect and the marketing aspect of their particular field; okay, only one, me. But anyway, on one hand I agree with Tabbebaum, any lawyer who really thinks he might get a potential client from Twitter is delusional. On the other hand, I also think some forms of Social Media can be useful, but not for the reasons you think. I have had many friends call me because they saw my name in a Facebook friend feed and would not have otherwise known I practiced criminal law. But with that said, not one person has ever contacted me through my Facebook Business Profile. But for the most part, Tannebaum is correct. Most of these Social Media lawyers are washed up couldn't make a buck lawyers, who sell fish oil. And the only people who pay attention to them are other washed up social media wannabees; and Tannebaum, who hates them.

Esquire Rule No. 1,033: If your lawyer's e-mail address ends in hotmail.com, gmail.com, or yahoo.com, find a new lawyer. Dear Hal, I know your readers and Mr. Sheaffer's readers dislike me because of the rhetoric I used in my postings. But I hope that they understand this; every single allegation I have written has been 100% accurate. But more importantly, just like any commentary I have ever provided, my opinion has been supported by accurate legal authority. So verbose responses aside, I have no regrets. Regards, Richard Hornsby
Kanye West's appearance should be canceled. It may make for great ratings - because of his irresponsible behavior last night - but it will severely diminish Jay Leno's credibility with the "average Joe" who will never condone what he did to a teenager, a deserving teenager. HAL'S NOTE: I just checked with NBC. He's still scheduled for tonight.
Give me a break, this kid is going to be a senior in High School and your censoring what he does at football camp. Grow Up Urban! Apparently Bianchi never went to a Football camp before; it is common for rival schools to actively invite and recruit other schools commitments (and can you even call them that until it's in ink?). I went to Bowden's camp in 1991 and half of the 1993 SEC Championship Gators were there and there was plenty of trash talking going on between everyone. So grow up Urban, Spurrier was an abrasive guy in a fun way; you are just an uptight blowhard that took over a team at the perfect time after Spurrier made the school a consistent contender and Zook stocked it with premiere athletes. I would like to see you have pulled off the same results at Notre Dame. And for the Urban-Kissers, before you question my pedigree or loyalty question yours'. I have two UF degrees and played there too.
This is no comparison; Bowden was protesting the use of a KNOWN ineligible player who was "instrumental" in defeating FSU. More importantly, Tulane gambled by playing him knowing they could lose their appeal; which they did. This is precisely the same reason Colorado was unwilling to let Jeremy Bloom play while he appealed; fear that any games he played in would be forfeited. In FSU's case, not only was the ineligible nature of the players unknown to Bowden, the players were not even a factor in any of the games they played in. I am a double Gator, but I am with FSU on this. All of the FSU haters need to find a new rallying point.
