The line is Nebraska by 8. Blah!! Too bad about Olsen. He had opportunity but threw it all away. Looks like the Kevin Olsen era is over before it even began. Too bad.

Jesus H. Christ some of you people are some freakin' drama queens. Neither Duke nor T. Howard were telling recruits to stay away from UM. Wyche got dinged by that odd ACC rule. He wanted to enroll now, not in May. Worton decommited from National Champion FSU so what does that tell you about where his head is at? Valentine is a big loss (presumably to LSU) but UM is still reeling in a top 10 class, so calm down ladies.

@Ron Zook: you're right about some of these posters. No one is happy with the current state of affairs and no one is happy with our DC, but some of these posters are from outer space.

Let me follow up and put this as clearly as I can: D'Onofrio, with the 2001 squad, would still lose 2-3 games/year. Enough said.

My fellow 'Canes fans: I have no doubt UM is lacking talent on our D. But, you mean to tell me that Duke has so much more talent that UM that they blow out UM? Not 1 player at Duke was recruited by UM. Better players are being recruited but our DC blows.

The WF coach makes more $$ than Golden. That's a slap in the face. Attention UM admin: You would be well advised to give Golden a modest pay raise, assuming the team continues to perform.

Shouldn't the Tiawanese be preparing for a Chinese invasion or something?

7,000 tix left? Let me make sure I got this straight, about 60,000 plus tix have been sold? Can we therefore assume about 50,000 will be in the stands instead of the usual 35-40K for a game like this? I really hope S.Fl can show up, support the team, and just have fun, but I'll believe it when I see it. P.S. I flew down for UF, drove to UNC, driving to Duke and Pitt, so don't even go there.

Attention sports fans, Wake Forest has come alive in the past 2 weeks. They're feeling good about themselves with renewed confidence and healthy players. WF could easily upset UM if the 'Canes can't get their heads right. Gotta hope Golden prepares this team to buckle down and take WF very, very seriously.

I think UNC might wear tuxedos and then star as extras in Masterpiece Theatre on PBS. I really hope UM stays focused and beats the crud out of them. I'll be at that game. Go 'Canes!

A much practice as he gets punting in a game you'd think UF would have a top punter.

@GatorAlum: you clearly lost to the better team on Sept. 7. Morris and his receivers were terrible with their timing way, way off. Only recently have they gotten on the same page. (UM's offense now would light up a full strength UF squad like a Christmas tree). Our D forced fumbles and beat UF down. UM scored 21, two drives which were all too easy. UF had a nice blocked punt which took advantage of a breakdown in basic blocking (which UM schemes for all the time), of course, UF fan never admits that. Since 2000 UM has beaten UF 5 out of 6. I don't blame UF for wanting to avoid UM in the future since the outcome is almost preordained...

The UNC game will be very difficult. UM always plays poorly at UNC. UM has only won once ('11) and that was by the skin of their teeth. I'll be at that game along with a sold out UM section. 'Canes fan always travel strong to UNC. This is the classic trap game. You have a down UNC, needing to break out at home, and a highly ranked UM team, perhaps cocky. IF, and I mean, IF this team can stay focused then UM should win. If...

No one should take the chance of incurring a serious medical problem. Best of luck to Preston.

Hey fans, I know other schools play cupcakes including one 1AA game (sorry, not into the whole FBS-FCS crud), but there are plenty of teams that do not schedule a 1AA game such as Notre Dame, Oklahoma, USC, UCLA, and Louisville for example. They have several 1A cupcakes such as Tulsa, Army, Navy, Ohio, etc., but at least they are Div. 1A games. Look, if UM wants 2 home cupcake games then they can play FAU and any CUSA, Sun Belt, Service Academy, MAC or other teams. Play UL Monroe, Army, even freakin' Akron, just anyone but a 1AA team. UM isn't even playing a good 1AA team but one of the worst out there. Let the other teams schedule glorified high school teams, not UM.

Let me start off by saying I love my 'Canes. Flew to Chicago last year and for the UF game. Buuuuut, this Sav.St. game is absurd. UM host both FAU and Sav.St. in 1 season? That's crap football and a ripoff for the fan. As much as I want to support his team, maybe if people boycott the Sav.St. game then the egg heads at UM will stop scheduling games like it. Maybe I'm wrong. What do you all think?

So Gator fan says that if UF had played better and not shot themselves in the foot they would have won. Never mind the fact that if Miami had played better and not shot themselves in the foot they would have really throttled UF.

Let me make sure I got this right. Since 2000, Miami has won the last 5 of 6 contests. With that track record, I don't blame UF for running for the hills rather than consistently play UM.

With Scott injured UM is "down" to 6 scholarship WR's? Most teams would give their right arm to have the receiving corps we have. The trick is to get more production out of the TE's. That said, let's all hope Scott recovers soon.

We got Olsen who is not playing this year and 2 QB's for the 2014 class. We got Crow who's a redshirt F and Williams who's a junior. Exactly how many QB's do we need? By the way Williams couldn't scramble an egg but he's got a nice arm.

So, UM is in year 3 of this NCAA investigation thing. A ruling was expected in about 6 weeks meaning the end of July. Here we are a month later with no end in sight after another "delay". I wouldn't put it past the NCAA to issue their ruling 24 hours before the kickoff of the UM-UF game but that, of course, would only be a coincidence...

Porter has been hampered by significant medical issues for 2 years. When he's healthy he's an impact player. This has got to be his time and his last chance. If he stays healthy he'll produce results. Best of luck to Porter and Go 'Canes!
