I remember you writing that teams should just stop overpaying for mediocre players and how that would solve their financial problems. That's not quite true. The problem arises when Lakers, Mavs or any other rich team pays big bucks for an average players. Bidding war begins and you see Bucks or Pacers unable to create a good roster. With a hard cap good player will still earn more than bad players. Just not as much as they do now. And the level across the league would be a little more even.
