The terms Judaism and Jewish do not designate a race of people. Judaism is a religion, into which one may be born or convert and from which one may leave. The word Jewish does not even designate an ethnicity; Jews are found within scores of different nation states and ethnic groups. The misdesignation of Jews as a race was a Nazi invention designed for their particularly malignant, genocidal, purpose. It has no place in civil society or discussion and, certainly, none in science or law.
