ROFL. Awesome.
@Curtis : Where ? Where ???
I Do Not Like Red Eggs and Ham. I Do Not Like Them, JJ I Am.
Had to post these hilarious quotes from JJ and Ana, as translated for me by a buddy. They're talking about the Orthodox tradition of dying eggs and then kids go one-on-one, knocking their eggs together with the one coming out uncracked being the winner. How have you been in beating others wi...
I am sorry for those events happening to her. I hope all the best for her future, and for her to pursue a good career continuation in what she loves.
And facepalm at the people who used those events to throw rocks at her.
Wish all the best for you Jarmila.
As for Bepa, hope her new coach won't mess up things with her and be able to take her to further stages in her own career. :)
Breakin' Up.
Crazy haps, you guys. Crazy haps. First off, SportExpress is reporting that Vera and Sergey broke up. MOMMY AND DADDY DON'T LOVE EACH OTHER ANYMORE! She'll be coached by Karen Krotov, the guy that we have come to know as "Not-Sergey". And believe me, he is "Not-Sergey" in every way shape ...

"Fuck" Is a Warning *And* An Invitation For Public Shaming.
P Mac takes the opportunity to set the record straight on DYoung. Which...I still think is weird. I mean, other than using this as an opportunity to send a message to all the USTA youngsters, what's the point? Why throw this kid (ok, he's not a kid, he's 21 years old) under the bus and air ou...
Wow, I just totally thought she was Ana at first.
Future GOAT then.
Here's Lookin' At You, Kid.
That's Nadia Lalami. She's 20 years old. She was born in Casablanca, Morocco. She's currently ranked #497. Prior to this week she had played four WTA matches in her career, all first round losses in Monaco. She beat top seeded Rezza today to become the first Moroccan woman to ever get to a...
Like I said, I don't think these comments are worthy of rationnal analysis. I don't know if the majority said violent stuff or if there is a good part whom measured their comments... Not that I defend them, but I do think she made these comments knowing that would attract rage. Else, she cannot really say she would make them without expecting any reactions. Once again, that do not excuse the violence, but I don't think it is possible to understand them properly when the gutted moment is gone. You have plenty of examples of that in the life, and sports (Madrid vs Barcelona...), and for some other subjects attracting massive different opinions. Unevitable. However I don't regret any measured comments toward her. Only insulting and further I think are not admissible. But even you know that and want to act classy, it is difficult on the moment. But you might succeed to contain yourself. (I speak in general, some might succeed).

And, don't screw Ana fans because they are quite, how to say, a lot.
To say she didn't deserve what a lot said to her might be, yeah, justified. However you can't expect cumulating some of much consider like an affront to their player (first lack of respect from Hantuchova whom everyone know she is still gutted of that AO match, then this Cibulkova incident, where she clearly added too much), without saving the risk to get a huge charge backwards. Actually I would have maybe said "ok she celebrated because she was fierce to beat a better player and secure a tie", and move on. But she added too much behind on twitter, which was clearly unnecessary, and more than celebrating, showed her intention of drowning Ana, and thus Ana fans and also Serbians because of her last tweet saying they can't stand losing. And no, when you attack clearly, while moreover trying to hide it behind a language not everyone understand, that ain't good. Because when you try to say it in order that the fewest possible might read it, is that you intentionnaly tried to mess them.
When moreover she was quite wrong and thus, only provoking. We didn't boo at her because we were losing, we booed after those stupid statements they made. They made too much of them. You don't go there, start to provoke people unnecessary and reinforce it behind while celebrating something that might be easily misunderstood, moreover when you had a few display showing you would have been destroyed hath the opponent played healthy and 100%, and therefore, turning wrong everything of what you thought for granted. Maybe at first it wasn't necessary a mean statement, but it was clearly badly reinforced afterwards. And people do react, moreover on such a moment, and when you know the one you're facing is pretty much known for her classy behaviour, and a lotta lot appreciated from crowd. You know, it reinforces again the stuff. That is unevitable.

When we come to think of it, Dejan comes here with 3 player of out 4 more or less, since JJ is not well, Aleksandra was saved for doubles. Bojana loses her first match, Ana retires unfortunately from her abdominal injury, and they are lead 2-6 1-5 30-0 on their opponent serve in the decisive rubber.
Well, Slovakia wanted to play it dramatic. Never, never do that against Serbia, dudes. You know no one can deal with them here.
But again congratulations to them not being mentally down after Ana's retirement, and trying from the best they could to win it. Special mention for Jankovic because she spent 6 hours on court in one day, that's not nothing. And to us for cheering loudly for her and the team after Ana's retirement, and, hum, Cibulkova's comments.
Bravo Serbia ! :)
Drama Queens.
They may not be best friends, they may not be great tennis players all of the time, and they may have disagreements from time to time. But after this weekend they both share one unbreakable bond: Daniela Hantuchova hates them both equally.* In what was hands-down the most ridiculously dra...
Else he can just play the tournaments where Nole won't be. #kidding
Congratulations for the title. ;)
The Master of Monte Carlo.
It's kind of like being the Count of Monte Cristo. But with fewer sandwiches. Something tells me that with Rafa, the seventh one feels just as good as the first one. A day after dropping a set to a cortisoned Andy Murray (the first set he's dropped on clay in over a year, I believe), Rafa ...
About France vs Spain : Rofl, totally. Though on clay I don't know if that would have changed anything. But with French playing for France, you can never be sure of anything. I didn't recognise Venus at all. Congrats Germany for the 5-0 win, and for the other winners too as well.
Relegators! Mount Up.
Welcome to the new world order. It just got a little more "Axis-y". As Venus watched on, the super teamy and adorable Germans completely overwhelmed the American teenyboppers with a 5-0 schpanking (that' s how they'd pronounce it). Oh, and Liezel. She was there, too. More on that later. ...
Oh, I didn't understood what you wanted to say, sorry. I actually don't disagree with C Note, if that answers your comment. Maybe I was rude but that is because it has actually to involve a French crowd when stuff like this happen daily in sports. And Andy Murray. I asked the question : would have she treated this stuff the same way if it wasn't one of her fave (that is a gentle and real question, I just want to know).
As I said, I don't excuse the crowd.
I am male, if you asked about me.
Edit : Yeah, I believe I went quite rude reading again my post. Also don't take me much seriously, I do say a lot of bullshit actually. Since it is not the first time the French crowd is targeted for something (targeted for their cheering for Soderling against Nadal in RG09), and with C Note who didn't like much Laura Robson going down to Mladenovic, I got to think something was wrong again with French.
And I'm thinking I am defending them, weird of me.
Also this post wasn't targeted toward C Note directly, at least not totally.

Oh, France. Ye of banned burqas, a lazy workforce, and a history of military failure. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'll eat your baguettes, cheese, and pastries, but come on mes amis, sometimes you make it so damn easy. Your boy Gilles rolled his ankle today against some pasty, fro-haired, se...

Until you actually consider writing about every incident of any tennis crowds not involving your faves, in order to argue against them, I will consider it was just a matter to find something for Andy Murray.
Not that I am defending the crowd of course, that is still stupid. I cannot say anything wrong toward them however, knowing I and some Anakads reacted pretty much the same way during the defeat to MJMS last year, actually reacting always the same during defeats, such as a lot of other crowds to be honest. Maybe not expressing it the most for tennis. Go and watch the Clasico (Real / Barça) this week-end, and we can speak again of the crowds. Now of course if you have nothing to reproach to yourself, then you can speak of the incident, that's allowed.
Excepted only people allow themselves to boo at their opponent when they are alone at home. That is somewhat funny. But I say no problem if I can find another post of a crowd incident involving two non-faves of yours, and not a French crowd. Even there anyways I can say no problems.
PS : The stuff about French food was of course, way evitable.

I understand her, this is so tough to be a superstar daily followed by paparazzis.
Humblebraggin', With Caroline Wozniacki.
One of my favorite Twitter accounts to follow is @humblebrag. What's a humblebrag? Well I think the etymology is pretty fucking easy to figure out but in case you need an example, this would be a classic humblebrag: "AUGH. My back is so sore from carrying this backpack full of gold! I'm so d...
Used "Ana Ivanovic argument". It's super effective !
Yes. Just say Ana went to Tokyo to this exact place and we'll come. It's straightforward going. And far more effective.
Thanks, Japan.
I'm finally back in the Bay Area after a five week jaunt from Indian Wells, Miami, and then to Tokyo to visit my sister for a week. It was another long stretch of 2011 wherein I lived out of my suitcase, relying on the generosity of others. Thanks others! You were so generous! Anyway, this ...
Come in France, and listen to the medias, if you need to go back in the past. But I can't assure you that you won't be back a lot earlier than 1990s.
Well...Crap.
How does someone who does *that* on court hurt her ankle off court? It will come as no shock to anyone who knows me that I goddamn motherfucking hate wearing goddamn motherfucking heels. HAAAAAATE. Waterboard me all you want. That shit I can handle. Heels? More like HELLS. Amiright, ladi...
Amazing performance Andrea, big congratulations even if I couldn't live them because of Ana, but what you did is what few top 20 can do nowadays. Great stuff, hope the tournament continues to smile to you and you can reach step further. :)
Rollin' In the Deep.
Yo. Adidas. Can she have her own "All Petko" shirt now? I think she's fucking earned it. How many times have we been left with head in hands as a player pulls off a career performance one day only to turn around the next and barely look like a person worthy of the court? It happens all the...
In the same time Petko, you weren't taking much risks. xD
Yes, Petko. Forty Have.
So Petko has a nickname for me: "Forty". I feel like this is such cosmic justice for the fact that I run a blog that revolves around nicknames. Anyway, not only did she bring it up during our interview earlier in the week, but she's hellbent on actually using it whenever she sees me. This w...
Andrea succeeded to turn Wozniacki's game against her. Pretty brillant. And brainful. Sad for the dance but she probably accomplished what she wanted to : make Ana doing it.
Also, speaking of Ana : her eyes, people. Her eyes. Congratulations Petko. :)
Brains Over Blonde.
Since Petko's known that she was going to play Caro she's been vocal about her intent to employ a new gameplan against her, one that other WTAers just don't seem to want to adopt: be patient, work the ball, use the angles, get Caro moving with well-placed shots, wait for the short ball, and te...

If this is not awesome, I'm not myself anymore. I love how Ana is so pissed off and Petko can't stop laughing. Ana, you and the umpires, long story. Above all you never win against them. But yeah, much to her unconvenance probably, she is so great when she gets mad. That's why we love her :p
Poor Baby E. In the same time, difficult to go against babies.
Ana Ivanovic Gets Pissed: A Compendium.
Ana had a successful day at the office but a rough day with the umpires. Her singles match was riddled with questionable calls and her doubles match saw Ivanorazzi get broken in the second set on an overrule from the chair. Ana was...not pleased. But as Petko's facial expressions show, a pi...
In case you didn't already know she was awesome.

NERD. (Pics: Forty Deuce)
I do blame you. You could stay awake until the middle of the second watching Wozniacki.
Oh, Daniela.
Another heartbreaker for the Can't-Close Kid. After dropping the first set 61 to Woz, both players would trade holds (I KNOW!) through the one hour and 24 minute second set. Then WTA ish came raining down on Stadium court. Dani had three set points and, by all accounts, choked them. Then s...

NolAndy. More Like NoAndy.
Everyone knows the formula for an awesome boy band. You always have to have the super-talented, hot, charismatic, wide-grinning one who all the boys want to be and all the ladies want to be with. They're the Michael Jacksons, the Timberlakes, the Lacheys, the Lennons, and the George Michaels...
And glad the winners are always with us. :P I was sure Ana was nervous because of the dance, haha. :) Good job Andrea for succeeding in convincing her !
And what were you thinking ? :D Ana gets nervous about a lotta lot of things, so dancing, that was the thing not to say in order to win. x)
Loveable btw how she is talking of Ana like she was some kind of her child. Hope they win a lot of matches together in the future !
Losers Pants. Winners Dance.
Ivanorazzi!!! Totally the highlight of yesterday's viewing schedule. After spending much of the morning watching Sveta and Sam cruise, I was off to watch me the doubles pairing of two of the more charming and delightful ladies on tour. And while they're actually not horrible at the game of ...
Of course Nole's streak will eventually come to an end soon. Why asking for it ? For once we can be a bit happy, over those recent years, it's been not a lot of opportunities for that. There's not to worry Rafa will be soon at a level to win Slams. For once Nole can keep his awesome AO-play, personnaly, I won't cry. As long as he can holds, that's great. And even if he would drop a match due to being exhausted, so what. It won't drop his luck and his form. We all know how tough it is to play against Rafa. Even though he was clearly not playing great last set, Nole clearly had to make the effort to come back, to take advantage to any of the occasions, to win that 6th set. That might be harder than anything. So once again, congratulations for what he did.
Magical Mystery Tour
SERIOUSLY??? I'm still in a bit of shock. I honestly can't believe Nole pulled off the come from behind win over Rafa. I'm not sure why I can't believe it. Clearly Nole's given me no reason to have any doubts about his game. But after Rafa took the first set and Nole's body language seem...
