I know it's not yours, but it would make me nerd all over everything to hear you recite John Green's quote about what it means to be a nerd in person.

I spent almost the entire con at my booth in artist's alley (*cough*www.poseurink.com*cough*) and sort of, um, forgot to find out when your readings were. D'oh. Jerry had promised to bring you by my booth so I could meet you in a "friend-of-a-friend" context and (ideally) not fangirling out at your table like last year, but he failed. Bastard. Glad to hear you had a good con!

Tower Shmower. There are still lots of independent record stores out there, still full of music geeks more than happy to give you recommendations. I should know, I am one!

Sorry I geeksploodged all over you at the con. I've always prided myself on being pretty chill about meeting famous people, but when I fail, I fail HARD. I promise I'm not actually still hung up on the Penguicon thing; that exchange was much cooler and funnier in my head the night before. In the midst of going all "omg wesley crush," I think I forgot to mention that you inspire me as a fellow writer. Better late than never? Thanks for gracing our little con with your awesome. You, sir, are a TRUE American hero.

Hey, I have it on excellent authority that you purchased a set of LOLCats buttons from Young American Comics. That's because my friends called to tell me, so that I would feel appropriately remorseful for deciding to save money and not attend this year. Of COURSE this would be the year that you decide to wander over to the booth I almost certainly would have been manning, had I been there...*grumbles*

I went to PAX one year, and then realized, "Wait a minute, I'm not a gamer. Being acquainted with Jerry and Mike and loving the comic is not reason enough to spend upwards of $20 for what is clearly a gaming convention." So I enjoyed myself and all, but figured I would save my money in years to come. But apparently you don't LIKE for me to say money, since now I'll obviously HAVE to go this year. You BASTARD.

What kind of crack are you on, Wheaton? My friends borrow my books, they know they better treat them nice and return them when they are done. They are my BABIES. If I want to be able to give a certain book away, I pick up extra copies at thrift stores and garage sales. I don't know anyone who'd treat a book being borrowed any different than a CD. You keep it as long as you need, you take good care of it, and then you give it back.

I normally don't comment here because my reply will get lost in the deluge of other posts, and so with this...but I can't help it, I just had to say congratulations! This project sounds really fun, I can't wait to see it. Nice work, Wil. You deserve it.

My roommates and I burned through season one of Lost in two days! We slept little, lived on the couch, and then went nuts having to wait a week between episodes when we started season two. When you get caught up, check out this awesome-hilarious Lost-inspired comic strip: http://marystatues.comicgenesis.com/
