Looks like people are squatting on similar sitenames, so I guess it's time to bring 'er back. Over the next couple of weeks you can expect the layout to change to something a little more professional, and to see some new posts. Stay tuned. And goddamn it, all of the... Continue reading

Yeah. Being in the wilds of Canuckistan, I can't buy the game locally for another couple of weeks, so I paid a premium to buy Rock Band via EBay. Took about a week to get here from East Asscrack, Iowa and much of my off time over the last week has been spent rocking out. Just beat the guitar solo tour on Hard, which is something I was never able to do on any of the GH games, so I think that says something about the difficulty level. Sure, I've had the gang over to 'jam', but I've also been playing the World Tour solo: vocals and guitar, simultaneously. It's not as difficult as it sounds. And I've been able to rack up the fans by playing a lot of 'Maps' and 'In Bloom' on Expert whenever I get to pick my own set. Can't get much easier than those songs. Can't wait for the DLC songs to be available in Canada.

Plainsong, you are making a generalization, and a faulty one at that. I don't have to be a woman to draw such a conclusion. That assertion is, in a word, ridiculous, and taints whatever else you had to say, or would in the future. About anything. Thanks for playing. Feel free to take your holier-than-thou brand of idiocy and shove it straight up your puritan ass.

Gotta disagree, Wil; Elayne's question isn't a valid one. It holda a number of unfair and frankly wrong-headed assumptions, not the least of which is that women are not a significant market demographic for SG. It's not unwelcoming to female readers; it's unwelcoming to Elayne, and to closed-minded, prudish, controlling people who think like Elayne. That Elayne's had this particular pile of sand in her crack for years makes her comment that much more disturbing.
