new crochet ripple blanket
I've taken a short break from my New Zealand wool ripple blanket to crochet a blanket for someone special. In preparation, I had bought cotton yarn in two colourways, one for a boy and one for a girl, waiting the news so I could make a start.... girl or boy, can you guess???? I've used one o...
Thanks Suzan, I am enjoying these colours.

I've finally made a start, yay! Started with 199 chain stitches like you, Mel. I got 14 rows done over the weekend. Loving your blanket, the white rows really make the coloured rows pop. xx
Ripple-along - week 1
Follow my blog with Bloglovin How did you all go? Did you survive week 1 of the ripple-along? Were there any ripple disasters? How many ripple rows did you manage to squeeze in? I set myself a target of 14 bands of colours to do in the first week and I can happily say that I managed them al...
I couldn't resist this one Linda... much better to be busy :) Sonia's crocheting is beautiful. See you soon, I hope. xx
ripple crochet blanket with ripplealong
It's not like I needed another crochet project, but when Mel Goodsell announced she was hosting a RIPPLE-ALONG... I just felt I needed to join in! While I have been happily crocheting my african flowers, Mel had been posting pictures of her ripple blanket she's been crocheting on her blog and in...

Welcome to the ripple-along {first homework!}
Hello! It was lovely to read that some of my readers are excited to join in with a little bit of ripple blanket making. I thought we should probably get started with some pre-blanket homework of sorts, but first a few questions answered: How will the ripple-along work? It's just going to be a ...

welcome 2013
HAPPY NEW YEAR Here's wishing you a happy, healthy and creative 2013. The Sydney new year's eve fireworks did not disappoint this year. We watched the 9 o'clock display and the midnight show from Lavender Bay. Before the fireworks got underway, we enjoyed a beautiful sunset over the harbour. The...

a new crochet project & the granny square at newtown
I've started a new crochet project. I'm crocheting a hexagon granny rug for Emily. I bought some lovely wool from a little wool shop I stumbled upon in Newtown recently, called The Granny Square. It has apparently been open for a while now, I'd just missed it on previous drives along King Stre...
