I'm glad to see FCD recognized with the top spot in the Power Rankings this week. It's hard to believe they're the only team in the league that's won more than half of their games. That being said, the sold out crowd had more to do with the team hosting the largest fireworks show in North Texas postgame than their current form on the field.

That was definitely a nice honor and I like the guy, but I'm pretty sure that resulted from a fan poll that was ballot-stuffed by Bolton supporters. "Get real" if you can't find at least 1 better MF than Holden on at least 10 different Premier League teams (I can think of another American that plays for Fulham for starters).

If you can have it, DirecTV is the only way to go. FSC, FSP, and GolTV in HD, not too mention all of the extra Champions League, UEFA Cup, and La Liga games that aren't on the regular channels.

I was wondering if something was up when Bradley was benched this weekend. I wonder if BM was testing the waters to see what life would be like without him in the line-up, or if he was simply in the doghouse or being rested. Regardless, I think Sunderland would be a good move, especially if he could break Asamoah Gyan's legs in practice.

Bundlesliga is on its winter break until January 14, but La Liga is back in action on Sunday and Monday. I'm surprised htat they wouldnt have anything on Goltv this weekend.

Somebody made a good point on here once that Bradley would probably be more popular if he was one of the guys that's on Twitter non-stop interacting with the fans. I find it hard to believe that people still talk trash about him. Back on topic, I like seeing the young guys. BB is familiar with Convey's game, so I don't think it's much of a snub. The only reason we have 2 old GK's is to make sure we have enough keepers in camp.

True, I will give them that. I think their last big MLS acquisition before McCarty was Zach Wells. Hopefully this works out a little better.

I hope that Ben does well, but I can't help but think that the DCU "brain trust" is setting him up to fail. Their personnel decisions have been terrible over the past few years, and it's clear that Payne and Kasper aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

I'm surprised that they changed their name. They had some success as the Wizards and their name was better than some of the other originals ... Clash, Burn, and Crew come to mind immediately. That being said, I thought RSL was a weak, Euro rip-off but I've come to accept it. Regardless, the new logo is horrendous. It looks like a mix between the MLS Eastern Conference logo and something for the UFL.

I disagree with pretty much everything duhboy7 said in his previous response. FC Dallas tied Columbus for the 4th highest point total in the league and then proceeded to beat a tough RSL squad, and then wax the Galaxy on the road. That being said, I fully expect and concur that Harry Potter will be epic.

I don't remember ... maybe a bag of balls. I think it's safe to say the trades have worked out well for both parties. I actually lived in Denver for 9 months earlier this year before moving back to Dallas. I went to a few Rapids games, so I'm happy they made the final but I hope they lose (obviously).

Actually, Drew Moor was shipped to Colorado for Ihemelu because we didn't want him anymore. I'm sure it was for playing reasons, but my favorite theory is that we jettisoned Drew Moor because he's a tool, as evidenced by his wristband.

When was the last time the MLS Cup final had a good rating? I'd venture a guess that it's NEVER (or maybe like 1996). That being said, there's an awful lot of whining on this thread. FC Dallas may not have a huge fan base here in DFW, but I guess it doesn't really matter because we're going to Toronto and your team isn't.

I was going to suggest we all form a pact to chill out on some of these guys for a couple years (or at least until after Gold Cup) after they demonstrate that they aren't quite ready for primetime. Especially after we get waxed by South Africa, not exactly a world power.
