OK, so I have some news to share with you. Today, April 22nd, is my last day at SAY Media. Including 2 years at SAKK and 4 years at Six Apart headquarters in 548 4th street, this has been an incredible venture and terrific experience for me to work with all of smart people on numerous exciting projects, but I figured it's time to move on. I should have a lot to write, but instead i'll dump some memorable pictures :) Man, that's a lot of memories. I'll send everyone a big hug and thank you for making my days at Six Apart/SAY so much fun! P.S. I'll take a quick vacation next week, and will start a new gig...

Tomorrow is Jane's first birthday. With my usual inimitable sanity, I have made party hats for the party we are not having. Note that there are in fact more hats than people to wear them. Also, I took long enough at the store choosing the paper that I made the baby cry. Excellent parenting. Steve and I put the hats on ourselves, of course, while she was sleeping. Soignée. Admirably focused on his work. Then I put everything away before Jane could wake up and participate in any way herself. No birthday hats for you, baby. It's not your birthday...

Following up my Japanese mobile plan hackery post, e-mobile just announced that they will release the new Android device dubbed "Pocket WiFi S". via bulknews.typepad.com Looks like Huawei's cheap unlocked Android phone IDEOS is to open the pandora's box of Japanese smartphone market. Now the popular prepaid SIM carrier b-mobile also sells the IDEOS. Of course it's unlocked, runs 2.2 and allows tethering like e-mobile will do with their Pocket WiFi S. The only difference with e-mobile is that b-mobile doesn't require contract, and because it doesn't provide voice service by default (unless you get the "tallkng SIM") you don't need to even sign nor provide your personal information at all. That's great for travelers too. The other surprising news...
