So my hat worked out pretty well, it looks like this: It was simple to make, and you can do it however you like, I improvised and it came out like this :) Basically, I started with a chain stitch of about 8, then I looped it through my first chain to make a circle, then I did this thing (don't know any crochet terminology) where I put the hook into the center of the loop, pulled the yarn through, wrapped the yarn around the hook (back to front) then pulled it through the two on the hook already. I've started to attempt to crochet a hat, right now it looks like a giant coaster, but in time I hope it will become something great! Hey, so I fell in love with petticoats a few weeks ago and I had to make myself one! I used this tutorial as a guideline, but for the skirt that I made, I changed the lengths of each tier so that the bottom was was in total 1.6m long, the middle was 1.25m long and the top was 1m long, which I then gathered into my waste measurement with an opening at the side and a button to close it.
