Things every person should have
Things every person should have: A nemesis. An evil twin. A secret headquarters. An escape hatch. A partner in crime. A secret identity. What else?
You are amazing! And your legs will thank you for the epsom salt bath - believe me, i know from experience! Buy lots. Drugstores usually sell them in large quantities. I had to send my other half out to get mine the first time I did boot camp. One of the best pieces of advice my instructor gave us that night.
DAY 2 BOOT CAMP- THIS IS NOT for WIMPS!
I have to let you know that I was in so much pain yesterday that I did not leave my house after I got home. I tried to stay active since I had to do 4 projects yesterday. I have a mid-release and cartridge projects to design- so sleep was not an option. I felt I was not very hungry yesterday and...
Oh this looks delish! Thanks for the chance to win!
Cosmo Cricket and Studio Calico Giveaway!
Hello, Cosmo Cricket fans! It's the crew from Studio Calico, and Julie is letting us stop by to tell you about a fun collaboration that we did with Cosmo Cricket. Our April kit, Singin' in the Rain, contains two double sided patterned papers and a sheet of labels designed just for us by Cosmo ...
Good for you! I've been doing a "booty camp" class (women only, led by female instructor) since September. Piece of advice - lots of epsom salts for soothing baths after the workout. Your muscles will hurt the worst two days after the first workout. I could barely get out of my office chair two days after my first workout. But since you are doing this six days a week, you might not have the chance to get as sore as I did!
Keep up the good work! It really does get better after the first few classes!
DAY 1 BOOT CAMP- REALITY
How do I even start this post? I am going to be truthfully honest. It was the HARDEST workout that I have EVER done. EVER! I was so nervous and I just prayed that I did not make a fool out of myself. I showed up and immediately I knew I was in trouble. The group of participants were a "die hard"...
Mesmerizing. More than happy to support to your art (in the selfish hope we will be treated to more).
HUNTER is here.
Hunter is a short Sci-Fi story set in a dark and desperate world. It is just about 2500 words, which is about the length of a story you'd read in a magazine. I'm not really sure what the appropriate cost is, so I'm experimenting with the Pay What You Want model that seems to be working really we...
I fondly remember my years of pestering my local librarian, Mrs. Watts. I was a complete bookworm and, with my parents permission, she allowed me to check out twice as many books as were normally permitted for kids so that I would not run out of books to read when the library was closed on weekends. She completely fostered in me a love of books that has lasted a lifetime.
librarians are awesome
I was recently invited to participate in an awesome literacy project, and I wanted to share an excerpt from my contribution: I want to take a moment and say thank you to librarians, because it was a librarian who made me fall in love with reading. In third or fourth grade, part of our curriculu...
As a spouse of a long-time D&D player, I am saddened to discover I have been doing this WRONG for the last eleven years! You mean instead of making sure there are tons of snacks and cooking a meal (or two) for all the players on gaming day/night I should have been spending the day at the Spa? I think you need to join my dearly beloved's herd of nerds so your wife and I can visit one of the local spas. Pick a date that works for you and I am sure they will all clear their calendars...btw - Jan 28 is already a go at our house if that works for you!
"In fact, I've never seen her this excited for me to go play D&D."
In my keynote to PAX East last year, I said that gaming is the foundation of, and the mortar that holds together, the strongest and longest lasting friendships in my life. I've been playing with the same guys since high school, and even though we all live in different states (and some of us live...
