Yeah, the froggies are fun Joseph. We used to have scorpions frequently when we first moved into this house. With regular spraying we dont see them anymore. Thats not to say one doesnt sneak in from time to time. I had one crawl in bed with me and sting my finger. They are unwelcome visitors! I imagine the venomous spiders and kissing bugs (whatever they are) probably dont get passed the bi-annual spraying.

With Bill and Callista off on their adventure to Panama I got to enjoy some alone time at the house. Sometimes you only think you're alone. In the restroom the other morning I kept hearing a strange sound. Then all of a sudden something jumped out from under the inflatable... Continue reading

For every great shot of our neighborhood sloths I get a hundred, not so exciting shots. The pair has been around throughout the week but not in positions for the best shots. Each morning I search high up in the trees tops to find them. They can be found in... Continue reading

Bill and Callista are taking a trip together. By the time you read this they'll be home. Hopefully. Seeing the Panama Canal is bucket list stuff for Bill. I told him about a trip posted on Gringo Central. It didn't take much convincing to get Callista interested in a daddy-... Continue reading

Con mucho gusto Joseph! As for daily rains...each day is a new adventure. I think this is our 9th or 10th rainy season and each has been different. The adventure varies according to where you live. We get pounded sometimes for hours. Sometimes you wonder where all the water is coming from, surely it has to stop...eventually. Other days you get a light misty kind of rain all day with light showers from time to time. Other days may be a combination of both with bright, brilliant sunshine hours sprinkled throughout. At hour house we can be sweating in shorts at 7am getting our dose of Vitamin D then freezing in a sweatshirt yoga pants 4 hours later. As long as we keep healthy this is our favorite time of year.

The little, ferruginous pygmy owl surprised the dogs and I on our morning walk. We are blessed to be able to enjoy and share shots of these wonderful creatures in their natural settings. Sometimes nature needs a little help. Our friends at Toucan Rescue Ranch are currently doing a fund... Continue reading

Con mucho gusto Paul! We had not been to the parade in several years. It was nice to see how the format in San Ramon has changed. Instead of going all around the town causing numerous street closures, organizers seem to be trying to keep events near the town square in front of the main church and park. We all enjoyed the event.

Now that the rains have been coming regular our purple iris have been flourishing. The pollinators are thrilled. The driveway is literally buzzing! It's such a beautiful display.
