This brought back so many memories. My best friend Stacy and I grew up watching this movie and we knew the entire thing by heart. We could recite every word and would even act it out in our own little skits. When I lost Stacy 3 years ago to cancer at the age of 29, it took me 2 years to watch that movie without crying. Her husband even had B.B.King's song Stand By Me played at her funeral and that was soul crushing. I still miss her, but now I can watch it and enjoy it and remember our wonderful times.
