Writing about writing so I can get back to writing because today I'm having a hard time writing
I'm having a great time writing this thing that I can't get too specific about, but I'm severely blocked on today's work, so I thought I'd talk about writing instead of writing, in the hopes that it shakes up my brain and lets me get back to writing. When I write fiction, the first thing I do is...
Aha! That's what I'm talking about (There's a Monster in my Closet short story, Hermina's PS comment)... I have been reading (and told) that dividing the story to acts and ultimately going to cell level (aka keys) is a great way to work. Still exploring it though, feeling that I should know more about the writing process before I cointinue writing stories.
Are you familiar with Marisa D'Vari's More-Personality system? I recently thought of getting it from the university's lending library but I'm not sure if it's any good. Got any ideas?
Thank you for sharing :)

You're a delight EVERYTIME. But, come on... The Dead Meemaw Card? I feel used!
I am literally playing The Dead Meemaw Card so that you'll watch me on The Big Bang Theory tonight.
Yes, I am literally playing The Dead Meemaw Card so that you'll watch me on The Big Bang Theory tonight.
PS Your story stuck in my mind... being a scenario/filming/editing etc student I can't help but analyze it a bit (damn studies, since day one revealing the magic behind stories... sometimes it's awesome, sometimes you fricking learn the ending to a movie you haven't seen yet, aka FAIL) I can actually sense a spontaneous three-act/A Thousand Faces/McKee's Story going on in there... or am I off road totally?!
Flash Fiction: The Monster In My Closet
About two hours ago, I thought to myself, "'There's a monster in my closet' would be a neat way to start out one of those scary short stories I loved to read when I was in middle school." I wrote it down, then wrote a little more and a little more. Right around the time I realized I had no idea ...
Man, seriously feel better. And hey nice soup!
Even though I'm sure you got TONS of suggestion, I somehow feel the need to suggest this: If you ever want a drier comfort food try boiling some carrots, broccoli, zucchinis, potatoes and celery with nothing else than water and a pinch of salt (amount of water according to the amount of vegetables - amount of salt according to your taste). And after they boil, drain them and add only olive oil and a pinch of dried oregano leaves. It's simple, tasty, healthy and it kicks the flu and bad stomach aches in the butt.
Have fun watching it do it!
Recipe time: Wil's Sinusitis Can Suck It Vegetable Soup
I managed to go eighteen whole months without getting sick, but sometime in the last week or so, something worked its way into my sinuses, and it's been kicking my ass for the last 48 hours. For most of the last week, I've been waking up in the morning with an intensely sore throat and painful, ...
I like your style - flowing naturally, wanting me to read more -even though I know that I will definitely check my closet tonight. Man, short stories are awesome. YOUR short story is awesome!
