Hmmm, I bought THE GUILD S3 DVD when it was offered on Amazon in February (which was print on demand, I believe), I assume this is the same content? Anyway, feel free to remove me from the contest running, since I already have the disc(s). Very entertaining chat with Felicia, I'm really looking forward to more Fawkes in S4. And BTW, being a huge DOCTOR WHO geek, I love that you wore a Dalek t-shirt in S3. :)

The Anne bumper is indeed full of win. And while I was a little too old to be truly "damaged" by POLTERGEIST, that scene where the guy rips his face off is still pretty cool, as is that extra-creepy under-the-bed monster.

Hey Wil, unless there's something screwy going on with *my* interwebz, it seems there's a glitch in paragraph 9; on my server, it reads like this: "would have been delighted to discover that we were so overwhelmed with auditionsNot enough time to perform because we're so overwhelmed with auditions?!" Your prose is usually so fluid that this really jumped out at me; just thought I'd mention it. Great post. :)

Hi Wil, I found this comment very interesting: "to learn a lot about writing and performing comedy by listening and paying close attention to the notes the writers and producers give all the actors, not just to me." I've heard there are some directors who only give notes very quietly to the individual actors, on the theory that the notes are somewhat private and should be kept between them. Do you have an opinion on that approach vs. a director/producer making notes known to all?

Was there ever any discussion of what they would have done if you'd turned down the part? Unlikely as it was, they must've had a plan B, given the rigors of television production -- would the whole episode have been scrapped? Or did they 'test the waters' with you beforehand?

Re. Charo - was it just me or do those silhouetted things in the background (which I guess are supposed to be parrots? Which is a bit wtf anyway) kinda look like hanged/dead people? Or does Charo's singing just make my mind go to very dark places?

I saw AKIRA in the early '90s, the original English dub I believe, and like many, I was pretty confused by a lot of it, even though it was in English... then a few years later I read the manga and realized they'd basically left out the last third of the story. No wonder we were puzzled. OT, where's my burrito?

I visited LA once in the late '80s and a friend (who lived there) took me all around the Walk of Fame -- my most profound memory was that someone (or possibly something) had taken a shit on Ronald Reagan's star. I don't know if "disappointed" is the right word, but it was definitely different than I'd envisioned. :)
