Oh no! Did Anne hit her head or something? I'm wondering because I can't think of a single good reason why you shouldn't have a Twilight Zone pin at your house for the occasional nephew visit. I have 2 pins in my living room (disappointingly neither are Twilight Zone) for the sole purpose of niece and nephew visits. They love me the most or one thousand times because of them. ;)

We just got back from our Epic Road Trip (tm) which totaled 23 days, 10 states (and technically one province) and 8800 kms. Many adventures were had. We were able to see your latest Big Bang Theory episode when I attended the Sept 27 taping and I thought it was your best work on the show yet! I did have a question about the production. I found the audience comedian/wrangler kind of annoying. I understand that is the usual thing for sitcoms with studio audiences but as an actor do you find it distracting? Tomorrow is back to reality, back to work but like you I feel like my brain has been reset and is ready to do science again. Stand back.

Damn! We left Vancouver this morning on our Epic Roadtrip (tm) and it will find us in LA for the Sept 27 taping of TBBT*, missing Evil Wil Wheaton by one week. Damn! *Well...I have a ticket and my husband has a standby ticket. The Internet tubes were blocked with pr0n and horse racing bets that morning (or it's just a damn popular show) preventing his name being one if the lucky 200. Fingers crossed for him!

Woo hoo! We're heading out on a 6500km roadtrip in September/October and I've been looking for some good audio. Already have the "We're Alive" zombie podcast loaded and ready. This will fit quite nicely!

Good point. I had to bail on the meet and greet myself because I had a 2+ hour drive home to Vancouver so I forgot about that part when considering the show length. Ended up I was up for 22 hours straight (work/classes, 5 hours driving, 4 hour show) and it was worth it.

People actually want LESS show for their money? *Coming from someone who saw the Seattle show and felt I missed out on the Portland show because of length and awesomeness.* PS I realize people have reasons for wanting to know a show's length (babysitters etc) BUT STILL!!!! Would you tell (insert favourite band here) to not do so many encores???

I was nine and home sick that day too. I remember my mom was sick too, taking a nap and I woke her to tell her the shuttle exploded. She said something like "oh no, that teacher was on it" and somehow at age nine, the fact that a teacher had died seemed even worse. It didn't stop me from applying for the Canadian space program in 2008 - only the 3rd recruitment program in Canada and the first time I would be eligible. The application process was long and I knew my chances were slim (they were only choosing 2 people) so I wasn't devastated that I didn't make it. But for one summer I got to dream that I might just get to be an astronaut.

Can't wait!!! Hitting the border early (missing work/skipping out of a biostats workshop)so we don't miss any geeky goodness!!!

Thanks for the PDF! Dancing Barefoot is my only Wil Wheaton (TM) product I haven't acquired yet. I'm holding out for the audiobook and would prefer the "super annotated" version. Just curious, would you get more $$ from a purchase of a Dancing Barefoot audiobook than if I went to the "super mega" bookstore and picked up a hard copy? I actually got a knock-off slap-chop last xmas. I'm not too ashamed to say it's actually handy when prepping a bunch of veggies (carrots, celery, onions, garlic) for chilies and soups. Not so good with tomatoes and fresh herbs but everyone says they love my nuts! :)

Happy Anniversary! My hubby and I celebrated 5 years married/16 years together this year. It is great to have married my favourite person! I had a younger co-worker ask me recently if my husband and I talk a lot still. It seemed like an odd question. It's natural for us to be talking ALL day long whether it be texts, tweets or emails while working. On the days I work during the day and he works at night, we usually end up talking into the wee hours of the morning when he gets home. We talk about our day, debate politics, discuss ideas for the house, new websites, new video games, tons of geeky stuff. It seemed like it was a real eye opener for her as she doesn't have that in her current relationship. Really kind of sad. Congrats again. That is an awesome photo of you two! Wishing you many more happy years together!

Funny. I was just looking at the calendar thinking "Didn't I say I was going to lose 50lbs this year?" Now it's half done and I might even be heavier. Here's to hoping I find the drive soon. ;)

Too bad you didn't head up to Seattle last weekend before going to Portland. You could have taken in the NW Pinball and Gameroom show. ~250 pinball and arcade games to play PLUS almost everyone from King of Kong were there - Steve Wiebe, Mr. Awesome, Walter Day, Mark Alpiger and Billy Mitchell, while not there of course, sent a case of hot sauce. Great gaming fun!
