At the end of this month, Specle will announce a new product called Specle Studio. Specle Studio is the product of the culmination of all our knowledge of pre-press and agency workflows. It seamlessly connects together production from media schedule through to delivery to publication in a way that has never been seen before. Specle has been working with closely VCCP to pilot the technology. VCCP is already using Specle Studio to produce and deliver all their work - including every ad for easyJet. From today, Specle introduces support for EUR and USD. If an agency creates an account in the Eurozone, or in the United States, all pricing and transactions will now be in their local currency. As always, Specle does not have any registration fees or ongoing charges. It also remains free to search for ad specs and to publish information. Pricing is based on the country of registration of the sender (the person paying for ad delivery services). Specle Pro is Specle's new fully managed pre-press service. Specle Pro replaces Specle Full Repro and is available on all 1300+ titles on Specle. As of today, you can now use Specle Pro to deliver high quality colour ads anywhere in the UK for just £30 per ad. Specle Pro is a flat fee service and is available from 9:30am to 6:30pm Monday to Friday. There is no rush charge on Specle Pro. We've completed a major upgrade of the Specle infrastructure over the weekend. Specle has now moved hosting providers, and is now spread across multiple redundant servers on Amazon EC2 through the Engine Yard hosting company. What this means for you is that Specle is now faster, and more reliable than ever before. At the same time we have also introduced a number of new features. Specle heads to "The Cloud" This Friday 15 April, 7pm, Specle will be shut down while we switch our servers over to a new hosting provider. Normal services will return by 6am on Monday 18 April. Specle will be upgrading to a brand new cloud based server array. Thanks to everyone for your support over 2010. Over the course of this year, Specle has built relationships with hundreds of publications and agencies. We now have over 850 titles online, including all UK national newspapers, 60% of top 100 UK consumer magazines, and 20% of the UKs regional newspapers - our fastest growing area. The Specle Full Repro Production department will be closed from 12pm on Friday 24th December, closed Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th December, re-opening for Wednesday 29th and Thursday 30th Dec, then closed on Friday 31st December and Monday 3rd January 2011. This week a number of new features went onto the site. Besides the new commercial pages which are designed to make it easier to get started with Specle and to find out how it works, we added a number of features for publishers. Specle Delivery Methods Publishers can now setup delivery methods to appear in the Send Ad Popup.
