The death - nay, the murder- of this poor woman makes me ANGRY. It’s about time ...it’s WAY past time ...for people to take control of their own destiny, their own lives. There are so many priests, preachers, and assorted shamans out there --"men of the cloth"- who have the unmitigated gall, the sheer arrogance, of claiming to speak for God, and with God. And we ...we must listen, and follow, and obey. Or so they say. They claim a direct pipeline to the Almighty! God did this, God told me. God loves that. God hates this. God wants this. Oh, and drop another coin in the basket before you leave please ...as God demands. It's gotten so bad that now they think that.... they ARE God - with THE “RIGHT” TO TAKE WOMEN’S LIVES! ENOUGH already! I say to them all: Go back to whatever burrow you came from, you charlatans, and leave us -and our country- alone. For we're a free and proud people, , and will remain so - without- your shameful meddling in both our private lives, and our public institutions. For Religion is a personal matter - NOT something to be FORCED on others! Don't just accept something because it comes from a religious "voice of authority". For ultimately YOU are responsible for your life, and how you try to live it. That’s why you have freedom of choice and a conscience: to choose, NOT just to blindly follow..... We need to start acting like Men and Women...not sheep.
I sense some confusion. P-l-e-a-s-e ....let the good professor explain "TRICKLE-DOWN-ECONOMICS" to you ...since I know that it is a complex, difficult and often misunderstood term. After all, it's things like this that keep Economics Professors like me in business, no? I AM sorry that I left my graphs at home, but here goes, anyway: Well, basically ,there are two parts to this beautiful , time-tested theory. The FIRST part is the "TRICK"le part. You MUST realize, you must understand, and you must emphasize that this is ALL a trick. The rich are the "tricksters, and you my poor friends, are the "trick-ees". Do I make myself clear? Good, then we'll go on to the second part. The SECOND part, dear students of the world, is the crucial "Trickle-DOWN" part. That, my friend, simply means that the super-rich URINATE all over the rest of us ...and then laugh all the way to their off-shore banks and tax-shelters. I hope that I have been helpful. Until next time -ask me anything-! - Professor America P.S. Bottom lone: the only acceptable looters are the super-rich. Anybody else is subject to arrest.

As PAul Ryan says, Romney will indeed make a great President, a very great President -for the super-rich. But at least Hurricane Sandy has done of us all a favor- by causing us to focus on Romney's skewed thinking: Consider Romney’s advice for storm & disaster survivors: "Don’t be a victim, and stop looking for handouts!" And.... ask your parents for help! Heck, Romney will dismantle FEMA and the EPA (= more $$$ for his people/corporations). Leave it to the states, he says. Yeah, sure. The damage from Katrina was FOUR times Louisiana’a state budget! Maybe Romney will make us dams.... out of his used Etch-A-Sketches? What we need is a tidal wave.......of voters..... to sweep these kind of guys out of power. THAT is the BEST way to help the victims of present and future Sandys. ...AND ....the best way to help yourself, and your family. Obama does not dismiss 47% of America like Romney. Obama says: This is not a Republican America. This is not a Democratic America. This is the UNITED States of America. p.s. This is not mere rhetoric. For in many ways, Mitt Romney's opposition to federal disaster relief programs is what the election is all about. President Barack Obama supports using government to help those in a crisis get back on their feet. Mitt Romney believes that government has no role in helping people who are dealing with disaster. Those two very different views of America's future are on the ballot next week. Your choice. Choose well. Choose as if your life depended on it. Because some day.....it just might. We know from Mitt's values (or lack of them) that he's not a Christian. But heck, he's not even a Mormon. Come on Mitt, let’s be honest: YOUR REAL GODS ARE MONEY AND GREED. And your saints are those who have the most money ..... those who want to BUY this ELECTION - and this COUNTRY ......and FORGET the rest of us. They try to drown us out with their dollars. But WE still have a voice. And it’s called our VOTE. We need a President for ALL the people - NOT a President of the wealthy, by the wealthy, and for the wealthy. And for sure, that ain’t you Mitt.....

What Sandy did was focus on th way Romney thinks. Want to know Romney’s advice for storm survivors? It's "Don’t be a victim, and stop looking for handouts!" And.... ask your parents for help! Sandy was important because it focused on the way Romney thinks. Want to know Romney’s advice for storm survivors? It's "Don’t be a victim, and stop looking for handouts!" Trickle-Down economics? Let’s be blunt - and honest. You want to know what "Trickle-down economics" REALLY is? Trickle-Down Economics is -please excuse my language- nothing but the fuckin' super-rich PISSING on the rest of us. And laughing all the way to their offshore banks. Trickle-Down, Trick-Em economics is now, and always has been: Crumbs for us - Cadillacs , car elevators, ten houses loopholes & lower taxes for them. That is ...if they pay ANY taxes at all. Romney smirks and says TO HELL with “47% of America” -- the “losers” and “parasites” that he so easily dismisses and disrespects as “dependents” -- all of us are struggling to stay afloat, all of us still in the middle-class, and all of us hoping to get there. Prince Mitt wants to be King. He doesn’t have enough. He wants it all. But did the Big Flipper even MENTION the words "worker" or "veteran" in his Republican convention speech? This man Romney is SO out of touch ...that it's incredible. He abandons the elderly, the students, the hungry, the homeless, the helpless, and the hopeless ...and all the biblical “least of these”. Love thy neighbor? Come on Mitt, let’s be honest: YOUR REAL GOD IS MONEY. YOUR saints are those who have the most money ..... those who want to BUY this ELECTION - and this COUNTRY ......and TO HELL with the rest of us. Bottom line: When THEY get a break - hey, they deserve it. But if WE get a break, it’s a handout. BULLSHIT! Tell me - who are the REAL “takers”? Who are the REAL “makers”? Who are the TRUE workers and builders? Who are the REAL “victims” here? And who’s in the Cayman Islands, trying to avoid taxes, and deducting his dancing horses? Who gave their LIVES and limbs ...in unpaid and un-needed wars? Whose sweat, .....on whose brows, has BUILT this great country? Was it the Romney’s of this world ...or ...us? They try to drown us out with their dollars. But WE still have a voice. And it’s called our VOTE. Loud and Clear -- we need to just say NO. NO to Romney & Company. NO to what they stand for. ‘Cause this is STILL our country. Our children’s country. And we mean to KEEP it that way. Period. Romney should “self-deport” HIMSELF back to Mexico, where his grandpa fled to avoid the U.S. marriage monogamy laws. ‘Cause Prince Mitt not only wants to kill the Dream Act, but the American Dream as well. We need a President for ALL the people - NOT a President of the wealthy, by the wealthy, and for the wealthy.

Methinks that it's the Pot slamming the Kettle as black. Reid is Right as Rain ...and Willard is all Wet. ‘Cause Americans have a RIGHT to see the tax returns of anyone who wants to be their President! NO if’s, ...No and’s, ....and NO big fat butt’s about it! Confession is good for the soul Mitt..... assuming you have one. So Relax, Repent, and Release your Returns, Mr. Romney …OR… just go back to playing with your pet dancing ponies. No problem. We’ll understand. Unless …perhaps ….just perhaps …you’re HIDING something, dear Willard? Just asking. P.S. By the way, Mr. Mitt: just how DID you manage to stuff all those millions into your tax-loophole IRA account?… while the REST of us poor smucks have strict limits? Inquiring minds want to know. And you want even MORE tax cuts for you and your rich buddies, Mitt? WHAT GALL! These fat cats aren’t satisfied - they want it ALL ...EVERYTHING!! But tell me Mitt, just how MANY cars and houses can you hog? And just how MANY silver spoons can you stuff into your smirking mouth? Mitt baby, you can fool some of the people some of the time, but -please- take my advice: if you want to run for dog-catcher KEEP your precious tax returns, and just clean off your car roof. OTHERWISE, if you wanna be our President, THEN PUT UP, …or shut up and go away ….preferably BEFORE the convention. The super-rich think that they have the God-given right to do anything they want in this great country -while the REST of us get screwed! ENOUGH!!! The divine right of kings ended a long long time ago Mitt. And so should your sorry excuse for a candidacy. Nothing personal, guy. Really. Rich, arrogant, power-hungry Republicans are people too! It's just their "culture" I guess. .....As you are so fond of saying.
Reid is Right as Rain: and Willard is all Wet. ‘Cause we all have a damn RIGHT to see a Presidential Candidate’s tax returns! Confession is good for the soul Mitt. So Release your Romney Returns ...OR... just go back to playing "dressage" with your pet ponies! We’ll understand, I promise. Unless... perhaps....just perhaps...you’re hiding something dear Willard? Just asking. P.S. Sooo Willard, just how DID you manage to stuff all those millions into your tax-loophole IRA account?... while the REST of us poor smucks have strict limits? Hey, when they say “Keith, you’re gonna be half-partner at Current” and they offer you 10 mil a year, it implies you’ll have SOME control over your work environment, your new home... no? Ahhhhh Yes: But we must contrast those nasty angry egotistic Liberal commentators (like Keith Olbermann) with…..the quiet, humble, self-effacing, ego-less, almost Budda-like qualities of Conservative commentators…..who, no doubt, bicycle to work, so that they might not offend THEIR limo drivers. Chill out Right Wingers, and just take two more Viagras. But do me a favor- and DON’T call me in the morning ?. The real question we should be asking is : Did CurrentTV simply USE Keith to gain attention and higher ratings? They KNEW what they were getting! Did they lure him with big bucks, and then drop him when they were done? Yes, we all know that Keith injects emotion and passion into his commentary, into his intelligent and incisive reporting, and into his humor….all of which makes his program interesting, as well as informative. He’s forceful, honest, and direct: you FEEL his pain, you FEEL his anger, and you FEEL his heart-felt sincerity when he covers a story. And he covers it well. He’s NEVER just another talking head! If Keith is absent from CurrentTV, then I too will be absent from CurrentTV. For Keith is one of the best – hands down- as evidenced by his outstanding coverage of OWS during the past year. I wish him well, and hope that he is back on the air soon. We need his unique voice and viewpoint!

Re Trinity Chuch & OWS: You don’t need to be religious to understand -and embrace- the idea that "Whatsoever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." But many of the 1%, in blind greed and endless schemes, have forgotten this. They have closed their eyes to what the word "society" should really mean, what it can mean. But due to Occupy Wall Street, we are finally talking less about CUTS and more about BLEEDING. Instead of demanding m-o-r-e budget cuts -to be borne by the middle class and poor- we are FINALLY focusing on the shameful bleeding that the poor and middle class has endured, for all too long. Instead of talking about even m-o-r-e cuts in the taxes of millionaires....we are now talking about fairness and justice - about an economy and a political system that is increasingly run for the rich, and by the rich. Instead of talking about LESS government, we are talking about a government that WORKS FOR ALL OF US, not just a favored few. Thank you OWS, for reminding us that people -ordinary working people- really DO matter, and for helping open our eyes to what’s really going on in this country. The attempt by OWS to occupy Duarte Square (the empty lot owned by Trinity Church) is much more than a plea for sanctuary. For like Zuccotti Park, it’s an attempt to carve out a protected space, a living conscience for the city, amid the repression. A refuge ...in a city where control-freaks would sweep us under the rug, and out of the way....in a city where they would pen us in, and permit us to death....in a city that tells us to “move on, move on”..... you don’t belong, you don’t count, you don’t have a right to be here...don’t assemble, don’t block the street, don’t trespass, don’t EXIST! They would deny us, deny our lives, and deny our very futures. IF WE LET THEM. But OWS responds, both in word and in DEED, and says: we’ve had ENOUGH - we BELONG, we STAND our ground, and we DO matter! This IS our land, and we want it BACK! The word OCCUPY...says it all! That’s why OWS has captured our imagination. That’s why a living breathing OCCUPIED public space is important for OWS. Like Lady Liberty’s never extinguished torch that burns in our harbor, OWS needs to have a concrete, continuing, persistent in-your-face presence.. to remind us of what we’ve lost, of what we are, and what we can be ..to affirm, illuminate, defy...and inspire. Trinity Church, with its oft-proclaimed ideals (and its huge land holdings), should look deep into its collective soul, do the right thing, and help OWS secure a sanctuary...a space of of refuge and hope. For if Christ were physically among us today, as He was 2000 years ago, He would be among the FIRST to climb those fences, and occupy Trinity’s Duarte Square. Of this I am certain...
