Hmm. I was interested until I got to the point where he references lactic acid as a "waste byproduct of some of the chemical and metabolic processes that happen during exercise." Lactic acid is not a waste byproduct, but fuel produced by the muscles themselves. This comes from the work of Dr. George A. Brooks at UC Berkeley, who has a Ph.D. in exercise physiology. Here's a link to an article from 2006 in the New York Times: http://www.nytimes.com/2006/05/16/health/nutrition/16run.html A follow-up article later that same year addresses some of the issues raised by this new information: http://www.nytimes.com/2006/06/19/health/healthspecial/19lactic.html I really like your workouts and programs, Josh, but am curious why you hold to the idea of lactic acid being harmful even though exercise scientists have changed their outlook. Do you have other studies that say different? I'm being genuine here--I'd really like to see those articles and discover the science behind the concept that lactic acid is bad for you.

We adore Leverage and I was stoked to see this episode. You did a fantastic job, and I always love seeing you on the screen! After reading your earlier posts, though, I was really surprised to see that the episode was set in Boston. I'm disappointed that filming was done in Portland instead of Boston. I get that it was probably a cost issue, but as a native Southern Oregonian, I've spent my adult life hearing about how great Portland is and how the rest of the world doesn't realize that there are great folks in the rest of Oregon, too, so it always strikes a nerve when the focus is on Portland.
