Interests: I'm a digital scrapbooker who still plays with paper sometimes, a photographer, and a quilter. And I am not allowed to find anymore hobbies! I'm also married with three kids and I used to be an attorney before I entered the land of SAHMs. Currently, I'm stuck in the midwest and dream of returning to the coast of Maine one day.
You will see a lot of scrapbook layouts on my blog, photos of my quilts and ramblings about quilt designs and fabric, along with lots of family photos and goofy stories about our life.
I love to have comments on my blog and I love to connect with others who enjoy scrapbooking, quilting and photography so feel free to drop me a line and introduce yourself. :)

And so much more! It really gets better and better!!!
Why didn't anyone ever tell me this?
When my kids were little and my biggest accomplishment was getting out of the grocery store alive with a newborn, a 2 year old, and a 5 year old, I used to look at the parents of older kids with pity. Maybe it was lack of sleep (27 straight months of not sleeping through the night destroys a lot...

LOL! But I guess it would have been nice to at least hear someone say it. I just never, ever heard it.

Line Art Quilt Pattern
Over the past couple of years, I have gotten more hits and questions and comments about this quilt than any other quilting or scrapbooking project I've ever done. My blog was recently linked in a couple of forums and I've gotten a lot more emails about it so I decided to re-blog some of the p...
Hi Maribel! I am so sorry to hear about your FIL. My condolences to you and your family. I have a friend who is in the same situation and I know its very difficult to pick up a project about that kind of life event. Ill be cheering for you in February!
Project Life 2013 | By the month
I decided to do Project Life by the month this year instead of by the week. For many reasons, organizing by the week just didn't work for me. I really enjoyed it for a while and I got excited about it week after week but there was always something a bit off about how that schedule flowed for m...

True confession time - I havent stuck to two pages per month. LOL. Its more than that but still a lot less than 4 2-page spreads with multiple inserts each week. :)

Hi Marcie! I did not pre-wash my material - its difficult (at least for me) to deal with a jelly roll after its been washed. The quilts usually only shrink a teeny, tiny bit and I really love the puckering. :) For the white fabric, I would say anything thats 100% cotton would work - I tend to use quilting cottons or Moda fabrics for my solids. And I almost always use Warm Natural or Warm White 100% cotton batting - its very thin and very warm. Id love to see photos if you make this quilt!

Thank you, Carmen! I love looking at the bright photos and colors, too, but its just not me. I say go with what works for you. ;)
Project Life 2013 | Introduction Page
Welcome to Project Life 2013! I'm so happy that I decided to do this again. I finished last year's album a couple of weeks ago and really considered not doing it again. But in the end, I decided that I would miss it too much. Here are my previous intro pages - I had two albums last year so I ...
