Interests: I'm a digital scrapbooker who still plays with paper sometimes, a photographer, and a quilter. And I am not allowed to find anymore hobbies! I'm also married with three kids and I used to be an attorney before I entered the land of SAHMs. Currently, I'm stuck in the midwest and dream of returning to the coast of Maine one day. You will see a lot of scrapbook layouts on my blog, photos of my quilts and ramblings about quilt designs and fabric, along with lots of family photos and goofy stories about our life. I love to have comments on my blog and I love to connect with others who enjoy scrapbooking, quilting and photography so feel free to drop me a line and introduce yourself. :)

LOL! But I guess it would have been nice to at least hear someone say it. I just never, ever heard it.

When my kids were little and my biggest accomplishment was getting out of the grocery store alive with a newborn, a 2 year old, and a 5 year old, I used to look at the parents of older kids with... Continue reading

Good morning, kittens! They are doing so well with their little cat door that takes them down to the basement. They are only locked in overnight so that we can all get some sleep and they are free to come... Continue reading

(my view driving Emily to school one day) I've been nostalgic a lot lately and it's because something in our house has shifted this year - this school year. Both girls started new schools - high school and middle school.... Continue reading

Welcome to Project Life February 2013! This was my second full month of doing this project on a monthly basis rather than a weekly basis and I'm even more in love with it than I was in January. This month's... Continue reading

1. While I was gone last weekend for Pattie's funeral, my husband installed a cat door in our basement door so that the cats can come and go and get to their litter box and food without worrying about the... Continue reading

Hi Maribel! I am so sorry to hear about your FIL. My condolences to you and your family. I have a friend who is in the same situation and I know its very difficult to pick up a project about that kind of life event. Ill be cheering for you in February!

Our weekend started with a family dance on Friday night at Andrew's elementary school. It was the first of its kind and I sure hope that they have more of them. What a great time! Of course, I have no... Continue reading

True confession time - I havent stuck to two pages per month. LOL. Its more than that but still a lot less than 4 2-page spreads with multiple inserts each week. :)

Hi Marcie! I did not pre-wash my material - its difficult (at least for me) to deal with a jelly roll after its been washed. The quilts usually only shrink a teeny, tiny bit and I really love the puckering. :) For the white fabric, I would say anything thats 100% cotton would work - I tend to use quilting cottons or Moda fabrics for my solids. And I almost always use Warm Natural or Warm White 100% cotton batting - its very thin and very warm. Id love to see photos if you make this quilt!
