For auto immune issues, such as Crohn's I suggest you may want to look into "antibiotic protocol", which just means an course of specific antibiotics over a more extended timeframe than most doctors would prescribe. If you Google "antibiotic protocol" in quotes, and "Crohn's disease" in quotes, it will search for these words together, and make it that much more efficacious in finding what you are seeking, which is relief, and a quick scan shows that some claim to have some remission from this regimen. You could Google it with your location, and see if there is anyone nearby. Apparently they have researched a system in Australia that is in trials, and maybe someone here is doing the same. If you don't find someone nearer to home, perhaps Dr. Mercola is not too far in Chicago. He would concentrate on diet and may be less likely to prescribe antibiotics, but may be persuaded. Never been there, so I can't recommend as a result. Neither do I have direct experience with Crohns, but antibiotic protocol does work with some auto immune conditions, I know. Trick is to find a doctor who will prescribe the extended antibiotics, because most will only prescribe for a week or two, which isn't sufficient. Mayo clinic, of course, has a good reputation, and I don't know what sort of result you would get from their collaborative approach, since I have not experienced it. In the meantime, if it would be possible to take generic antibiotics, it may be helpful. It's too bad you are finding a lack of compassion from some here, but they probably don't know what it is like.
