When I received the SSS November Card Kit, I was so amazed by it's contents that I thought it must be a special kit like the ones they do periodically. I read the letter with it and yep, it was just a regular card kit. The stamp set is HUGE and the papers - oh the papers. I'll quit rambling and just show you the kit - here is an image of it: I am doing a "one stamp, five ways" blog post today focusing on ways to use the stamp, but I am only using the kits contents for each of my five cards. So let's get started! And just remember one thing as you go through this blog... Continue reading

Hello FRIENDS! Today is day two of the Simon Says Stamp Blog Hop announcing their new Making Spirits Bright release. It is full of holiday goodness from Halloween, to Thanksgiving, and all the way to Christmas! I have a new set of watercolor cards as part of this release called Gratitude. Here is an image: I want to give you a little background to why I drew this set at this time (besides the fact that it fits with a Thanksgiving theme!). As I was trying to decide what to make my newest set about, I was watching the devastation on the news from Harvey in Houston. I was so impressed with how everyone was helping those that were affected... Continue reading

Hello again for the third "one stamp, five ways" posts in a week! That is a record for me - so proud of myself! My sea glass collection has not been growing this week though - boohoo. haha I tried some different looks for my card photos today - tell me what you think. I've always kept my photos super simple with just the card so it could be focused on, but I keep seeing these amazing shots by other designers and wanted to try something different. Hope you like them. As part of Simon Says Stamp's STAMPtember event, they partner with different stamp companies to release sets together. This new stamp set is a little different than the normal... Hello friends! I'm excited to be almost wrapping up two days of exciting inspiration on a hop showing the brand new Pretty Pink Posh product release. As you have probably seen by now, this is one ADORABLE holiday release full of stamps, dies, and some new awesome sequins! Today I have a "one stamp, five ways" post to share with you using my favorite set from the release, the Angel Friends stamp and die set. I have four cards and three tags to share with you! Card 1: I started this card with a stitched rectangle from Neenah White Cardstock. I then die-cut an opening with the Window Frames die set to use as a shaker opening. I placed a... Continue reading

Hello friends - can you believe it is almost Fall already?!?!?! I live in sunny CA so we don't really have "seasons" - it is almost always warm. I do wish we had the beautiful fall leaves to make Fall really come to life though! Pretty Pink Posh just released a new product line that definitely got me in the mood for Fall and Halloween! Now I must be honest, Halloween is NOT my favorite holiday. In fact, I'm not a big fan as I don't like scary or dark in anyway - not even scary movies. BUT, I do really like candy corn and CUTE Halloween decorations and costumes! So when I saw this darling Trick or Treat Friends... Continue reading

Today is day two of the STAMPtember blog hop for Simon Says Stamp. This is not going to be just a two day event - it is a full month party! There are so many amazing products being released by Simon RIGHT HERE, but there will also be many collaboration products released throughout the month. I have a new watercolor card set that is part of this release called Forest Friends - here is an image: I've colored all 12 of the cards so you can see how they would look and at the bottom of the post, I will give you some coloring tips I use. They are printed on Ranger Watercolor Paper which is very thick and pure... Continue reading

I wanted to use my usual title - "one stamp, five ways" just to be consistent. But today's post is really a "one stencil, six ways". I had no idea how fun a $13 stencil could be until I played with this one! Here is an image of the Simon Says Stamp Marilyn Stencil that was designed by Kristina Werner and was part of their Encouraging Words product release. I haven't played with stencils much, so this was really an experiment for me. And this one was so gorgeous, I thought it was about time to give it a try. I also used a stamp set that was recently released by Simon for my salutations on each card called Thoughtful... Continue reading

This one is GORGEOUS! I must start with an apology (although that breaks all the public speaking lessons I've ever learned, but this isn't speaking really is it?!?!?!). I have only made 2 cards today! I want to use this kit/stamp set for a "one stamp, five ways" post as it is just so full and cute and fun and ... so that will be coming soon. I also still have a post ready using an Encouraging Words stencil five ways - much blogging to do this week! Here is an image of the Simon Says Stamp September 2017 kit: And here is an image of my favorite part of the kit, the Best Ever stamp set (which is also... Continue reading

Hello all! As summer is coming to an end, I'm feeling all kinds of sad emotions because I love my kids being home. And this year I'll have a Senior and a Sophomore so one more year and off to college for one. I wish I could freeze time. Although I would have done it years ago when they were younger, not teenagers - haha. Hope you are all having a good end of summer! Today I want to share with you two cards I made using some of the newest Pretty Pink Posh stamp and die sets and my favorite random stamping technique. For this first card, I used the Sea Friends stamp set. There is a set of... Continue reading

Today is the first of a two day blog hop to celebrate the new Simon Says Stamp Release called Encouraging Words. It is full of fun new stamps, dies, stencils, sequins, and a new set of watercolor cards! Here is my card set for this release - it is called Fruity Puns: There are nine cards in this set each printed on Ranger watercolor paper. They are 5.5" x 4.25" so they fit perfectly on a card front. All you have to do is watercolor them or color them with any coloring medium you prefer. They are great for taking on trips or letting your kids help you with! My kids are always involved in my sets as they critique... Continue reading

Dudettes - I'm back and it hasn't even been a week! I have a good excuse though for doing two "one stamp, five ways" posts in one week. I don't want you to think I don't have a life! Both my girls had their wisdom teeth out last week, so I have been a home nurse (full time cook, cleaner, medicine giver, gauze folder, dish washer, waiter, etc...). But the good news is all this time at home gave me more creating time! So today I am going to share with you five cards using a new Simon Says Stamp stamp and die set called Bouquet of Thanks. I'll also be using a Thanks stand alone die that was designed... Continue reading

Hello friends! It's been a while since I've done a "one stamp, five ways" post. Today I have one to share with you using the Simon Says Stamp So Deer stamp set that was released as part of their Mothers, Fathers, Florals release a couple months ago. Although some of the sentiments have to do with mother's, the set works for every day cards with most of it's sentiments. Here is an image of the stamp set: I have five cards to share with you using this set. I have to say - it's one of my favorite stamp sets SSS has ever come out with. I'm a succor for whimsical woodland creatures, flowers, nature, and spring type images. I... Continue reading

I don't know if you have seen any of the sneak peeks yet for the Pretty Pink Posh July 10th product release, but it is SIZZLING'! I've never used that word before, but then again, I've never liked a release this much before haha. I've already made 9 cards with all of the new products - here is a little sneak of them all: You can't beat sea creatures, clouds, bears, little people, hot air balloons, etc..... (yep, I could go on and on). I love that all of their stamp sets work so well together. All of the products (including new sequin mixes, stamp and die sets, and stand a lone dies) will be available on July 10th for... Continue reading

Hello Blog Hoppers! You must all be very inspired by now since you are at the end of a two day hop! Today I will be sharing my newest set of watercolor cards called Punder the Sea all painted up and perdy. Hopefully this will inspire you even more to get out your watercolors and have some fun painting. I have to say - of all my watercolor card sets, this one was the most fun to paint. I guess I have a thing for anything summer and beach! Here is an image of the set of 12 uncolored as they are sold. They are all printed on Ranger Watercolor Paper which holds up perfectly with any coloring medium. They... Continue reading

Simon Says Stamp has just released their newest card kit for July called Hello Summer. It is full of summer goodness with lots of bikini's to taunt you! I decided to do a "one stamp, five ways" post with the adorable stamp set that comes with the kit. Here is an image of the full kit: You can purchase the Bikini Die or the Sea You Soon stamp set by themselves as well. Here are my five cards: Card 1: The kit comes with foam tape and sequins, so making a shaker card seemed like an obvious! I die-cut a piece of the patterned paper (my favorite piece!) with a stitched rectangle using MFT Blueprints 13. I embossed two clouds... Continue reading

I'm excited to announce that I'm still on the Pretty Pink Posh design team for another term (now until end of December). They announced their new team today on Instagram and the PPP blog. If you visit the Instagram announcement, PPP is giving away a $100 gift certificate to their store - wow! I wanted to make a card to take part in the announcement. Today I have a card to share that uses several of their adorable stamp sets. I used several stamp sets for this card from their last release. The darling little porcupines, tree stump, bird, and tulip are from the Woodland Critters stamp and die set. The flowers and leaves are from both the Bold Blooms... Continue reading

Hey, remember that blog post series I had called "one stamp, five ways"?!?!?! Well, I have officially resurrected it. (((life's been in the way lately))). Today's post will be using a Simon Says Stamp set that came out a few months ago I've been dying to play with. It's called Hope Blooms and here is an image of it: It is full of beautiful floral images (my favorite!) with outside images AND inside detailed images. It also has a set of dies (white can be used by themselves as you will see in one of my cards) or you can buy them together as a set. I also love the salutations as HOPE is such an important part of life... Continue reading

Today is the exciting Simon Says Stamp new product release called Cherished BLOG HOP! I love being part of these hops because YOU all leave me such nice comments! So bring it on hahahaha! The entire new release is HERE and I have a new set of watercolor cards that are part of this hop called Birds and Butterflies as you can see here: There are 12 card fronts and they are all printed on Ranger watercolor paper. You can watercolor them with any of your paint options or you can color them with markers or any other coloring medium. They are meant to attach to a card front, so most have salutations. Today my "one stamp, five ways" post is dedicated to the newly released Simon Says Stamp June Card Kit which has a drop dead gorgeous FLORAL stamp set in it! Here is an image of the kit: Not only does it have a great stamp set, it has all kinds of other goodies I can't wait to show you. See that little paper with paints on it? That is four blobs of my favorite Daniel Smith paint! It's such a great way to try them out and it is plenty to make lots of cards. It also has two inks in it. First, that Simon Says Stamp ink is going to be perfect for all of my no-line stamping since... Continue reading

Today and tomorrow is the Pretty Pink Posh May Release Blog Hop and I'm excited to be a part of this celebration! This release is my favorite release they have ever had and I can't stop making projects with it! I have had several blog posts using the new products HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE if you are interested in seeing more inspiration with these products. FIVE TAGS TOGETHER: I made five tags with the new products. They all use Pretty Pink Posh dies - one is an older set called Stitched Essentials 1. It has three tags in it and three shapes that fit inside the tags. I mixed them with two of the newer tag sets called Scallop... Continue reading

This is my first "one stamp, five ways" post in SO long! I've been busy with the new Pretty Pink Posh release, so I haven't had a chance to do one of these posts lately. Today, I am using one of my favorite Simon Says Stamp stamp and die sets called More Spring Flowers - just in time while we are still enjoying spring! Here is an image of the stamp set: You know flowers are my favorite, but the flower sets Simon has released with the doodled lines are my favorite of all their flower stamps. They have had a couple like this so far - one was a year ago called Spring Flowers which I also did a... Continue reading

If anyone has been following my last few blog posts, I've been sharing a card using the new Pretty Pink Posh May product release daily. Well, yesterday I didn't share a card, so to make it up to anyone who is visiting daily, today I have TWO cards to share. And the best news is today the products are available for purchase at Pretty Pink Posh. They have a bundle of all the new release products for sale HERE with a 15% discount! Now let's get to my two cards! I started this card with a full card size stitched rectangle die-cut from Ranger Watercolor Paper. I used the PPP Scallop Oval Frame to trace a large oval on the... Today I'm back with another card using the brand new Pretty Pink Posh products that will be up for sale on May 1st. I'll keep sharing until that date which means I better get my butt i gear and make a couple more cards! Today's card uses the two new floral stamp and die sets called Bold Blooms and Build a Bloom which work great together. One of the things I love about these stamp sets is most of the flowers have both outline stamps and flat stamps for two step stamping. When I do this technique, I stamp with one ink color but use full strength for the outline (which I stamp first) and then I stamp the inside... Continue reading
