The best part - the VERY BEST PART - is the first time the firm ever gets mentioned by adweek.com, it's a story about this. There are probably more efficient ways of killing your company, but I sure can't think of one.

You think it's just 90%? You, sir, are far more charitable than I... :)

And frankly, I would be suspect (well, more suspect than I usually am) of any "journalist" who would allow some PR flack offer sway regarding anything. Am I the only person who looks back fondly at a time when MOST journalists at least TRIED to look like they were fair? I'm not even suggesting they WERE fair (Cronkite was the beginning of the end THERE), just that they at least tried to appear like they were. For a journalist to allow a PR firm that sort of access leaves the realm of "journalism" and enters the land of "drone who reprints ad copy".

Once I got a bit of a run around from Comcast - they gave me a 12 hour window for a service call that ended up being the fault of home-base not authorizing a cable box. I blogged about it at the Jury (which is a side-blog of Patterico's Pontifications, and was at the time getting HEAVY traffic from a national story it broke), and got a reply from a VP who made everything better. How many people get shafted like I did, but lacked the bully-pulpit? People with a voice need to rise up when this happens, and now and then take e-mails from fans and help them the same way.

I'm working on getting useful numbers for the companies found here so that I can start making phone calls and asking why they continue to retain a company who would keep an unrepentant misogynist like Jose. Is that wrong?

When you make PH look like the good guy, you truly have failed at life.

Hell, I'm a foul-mouthed, highly opinionated, curmudgeonly jack-hole. And I could do Jose's job so much better than him it should make him want to cry.

Also, "Please stand by for a demonstration of relevancy." should be the single most terrifying threat anyone could ever get.

It isn't even a GOOD apology. And apparently, those of us who think Jose should lose his job, and who are shining a disinfecting light on the stupidity displayed by this 3rd-rate PR firm, are apparently "bullies". And am I the only person who reads Carol's "mistakes were made" in the voice of George Carlin?

I've little doubt. Which is a shame that he would set the bar so low... I could easily show true blasphemy, were he so inclined...

The following is now awaiting moderation. I post it here because I suspect it won't make it through. --- "It has been angry, vituperative, hate-filled, and laced with both profanity and blasphemy" Toughen up, Princess. If you don't like the idea of people expressing extreme disagreement with whatever drivel you choose to write, pick a place that isn't available to the public, like a diary. I have taken the liberty of finding one that is likely to suit you. http://www.amazon.com/PECO-00530FB-Butterfly-Diary-Pecoware/dp/B0017SOR6M/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1290136642&sr=8-1

I'm upset that I can't actually vote for you... But I will donate, and if you need shirts and stuff for the campaign, drop me a line. Dad and I can work you a deal I'm sure...

So lemme get this straight... Illegal immigrants get to stay because of anchor-babies, but this woman is going to get booted? Awesome. I'll be calling Sen. Durbin's office, as if that will do us any good. Maybe he'll co-sponsor/act to make up for his cowardice from not publicly meeting with anyone during the recess...

First, Illinois Patriot: that list of 4 is actually just two, stated in different ways. Note that the 10AM ones are both at the same locations, same with the 1pm one. Second, I find it freaking hilarious that Sen Durbin - Majority whip and senior senator for the state - said he encouraged members of congress to meet with the public 'as he has and will continue to do' has absolutely NO public events set up. Not a single one.
