I am glad that people, myself included, rallied around the oatmeal and gave wholeheartedly to two great charities. I'm not glad that the internet mob threatened and harassed Carreon. He fully stirred the pot, and he can go fuck RIGHT OFF, but it's easy to get into the mob mentality, even across the tubes and wires of the interbutts. We can disagree and express our displeasure without being the same kind of asshole as the douchecanoe who started the whole thing. Which is exactly what the Oatmeal did, and why he is my hero, too.

We all watch it together as a family. So far, the only game we already have is Settlers of Catan. My kids (7yr old girl and 9 yr old boy) and husband (34 yr old boy) and I all love it, but my son especially, because games are his thing, yo. If I had a dollar for every time he has asked me if we can play Munchkin, I'd literally be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars by now, but he is equally happy to play other games. He is over the moon with excitement about the next episode, and if I'm being honest, so am I! :D MUNCHKIN TO THE RESCUE! And because of you, me and my friends and neighbors have been playing Cards Against Humanity every available opportunity (and I started making custom cards to add to the deck last night) even though you didn't play it on Tabletop and probably won't because of the controversial and HORRIBLE cards. But it is SO AWESOME. We all laughed harder than we ever have at a game playing CAH.

I had one of those stress dreams on Saturday night. I teach Preschool Music & Movement classes, and one of the things I'm really good at is remembering kids' names. Not so much with the moms and dads, but I can recognize a kid years after they've gone on to grow up. So in this dream, I had a full class of 12 2-year-olds, and we got to the part where I sing goodbye to all of them, individually, by name, and I couldn't remember any of their names. "Good-bye, striped shi-irt!" "Good-bye, girlwithyellowpigtails!" UGH. It would never happen, but it sucked.

As a huge fan of the original song, you are no better or worse a singer than Jimbo Mathis. It was awesome karaoke.

I have been green with envy all week. This morning, it occurred to me that all I have to do is dig up about $200 a month out of our budget to be able to have me and my husband go next year. We'll see if we can do it!
