It was amusing, that is for sure. I love how apparantly Mnt. Dew is bad for you too! Keep on gaming gamers and keep on drinking Dew :)
Just in time for Halloween: the animated Dark Dungeons
If you're of a certain age, you may remember the infamous Jack Chick tract Dark Dungeons. For those of you who don't, here's the tl;dr from the Escapist: Dark Dungeons is possibly the most widely distributed piece of anti-game propaganda in the history of gaming. It was first produced by Chick ...
Those labels totally rock!!!!! I would buy that beer! I love trying new beer, having a catchy label is just a bonus! Congrats on your father & son project. It makes me smile!
The Poet and the Painter casting shadows on the water
Beer stuff! I wanted to make Jaime Paglia an oatmeal stout, because that's his favorite. When I went to the shop to get supplies, though, Greg (who owns it) told me that you really have to do a partial mash or all-grain to get it just right. I'm not quite ready for that, yet, so I went with my b...
I loved the whole episode, AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
just in case you wanted to talk about tonight's TNG reunion on Family Guy...
I have always told my boyfriend it is "the small things that matter most", like holding hands or cooking dinner together! Those make the best times.
we're cookin' now
Saturday night, Anne and I wanted to have some sort of date. I've been getting tired really quickly this week (doctor said to expect that) and I've had terrible headaches, so instead of going out, we stayed home and made dinner together. I love cooking together. I love working together in the ki...

Welcome back Uncle willy...........It is so good to have you back on the blog waves again. I have missed your writing, your humor, and your spirit! If I could buy you a Guinness I would!
breathe . . . breathe in the air
Hey, want to have some fun? Take a look at your nose. See how normally-sized it is? Pretty small and stuff, right? Maybe a few centimeters across? This afternoon, my doctor pulled two plastic splints out of mine, each the about one-and-a-half times the size of a silver dollar and shape of a sm...

I am glad that you voted for Obama because by the time it gets to me it probably wont matter. I do vote, but I must admit that I have am have been discourage for sometime now with how the voting in america works. I am NOT one of the chosen states for the big primary votes, and there for by the time May rolls around and my little pewny vote doesn't even get notices unless the votes are very close. The rest of america has chosen our candidates for us. So thank you for voting because I do think in most instances it is a worthy cause, but on a national standard I think the smaller states get left out. Perhaps I am simply uneducated in this area, and would be happy to be corrected if I am wrong, but it might take some pretty good convincing.
I voted today
I cast my vote for Barack Obama in California's primary this morning. Here's a major reason why I did: “When I am this party's nominee, my opponent will not be able to say that I voted for the war in Iraq; or that I gave George Bush the benefit of the doubt on Iran; or that I supported Bush-Chen...

I bought a WWDN mug a while ago can't remember how long, haha so it has been a bit. I use it quite regularly and even dishwash it and has held up really well, and yes it was from Cafe Press, but I do agree about clothing, I would like to see a higher thread count and I am willing to pay for a good quality shirt that will last. I would defintitly do a shirt and mug.
Is anyone interested in WWdN merchandise?
Before I put in the time and effort to make some new WWdN merchandise for the WWdN CafePress store, I'm looking for a show of hands: is anyone interested in some WWdN gear, like T-shirts and stuff? I don't have the time or desire to run a store myself, or take the risk of buying a lot of stock a...

It was so hard to hold out for the hard back edition of Happiest Days, but I am so glad I did, I think it will be worth the wait. You most certainly deserve to celebrate and have a cold one. I would buy you one if I could. Anyway this girl from Oregon, loves your books, and can't wait to the Audiobook comes out, because I love them too! Congrats Wil, on your success today, and everyday!
the limited edition hardbacks have sold out
Wow. I hoped it would happen, but I didn't think it would happen so fast! I took a break from the computer to go eat dinner with my family, and while I was up, we sold the last copies of the signed, numbered, limited edition of Happiest Days of Our Lives. The really sad news is that we oversold ...

Congrats on booking the show Wil, that is totally awsome, I have missed seeing your face on my tv, far to long!
happenstance has changed my plans
I had a great time working on Numb3rs today, but I'm too happily exhausted to say much more beyond that right now. When I washed my face a few minutes ago -- one of the last things I do at the end of my day -- I noticed that there was some makeup on the towel. "Gosh," I thought, "I haven't seen ...

Ok, so when you asked if anyone would by a hard copy and we responded in the old comments, was that really an official order, or do we need to submit an new one? I ask because I have been waiting for the hardback copy but if there is none left to order I will get a paperback one for myself instead.
untitled autumn narrative
Autumn is trying to arrive in Los Angeles, but summer has a tenacious grip here, and isn't going to let go without a fight. This weekend was one of the many battles between the two seasons we'll have until summer throws in the towel, which typically happens in mid-November: autumn brought us a c...

Loved the short clip there of your keynote speech, it was funny and nostalgic at the same time.
Just out of curiosity, it is next week and was anxiously anticipating placing an order for a hard copy..........just wondering do you think that will be up soon? I will be on vacation next week in So. Cali and didn't want to miss an opportunity to get one.
a little PAX video: NES
I just came across some video of my PAX keynote: This is me talking about the first time I played NES, with my brother, in a department store. It contains what is probably my favorite line of the entire keynote. I watched a lot of video from PAX while I was supposed to be working on my GiR t...

Hey Wil, so besides the convention, when will the rest of us be able to order your new book, hardback or soft cover??
a few more vegas and pax updates
I'm a bit of a mess at the moment, spread way too thin among all my travel and convention commitments this month, and dealing with the sadness and reality of taking Ryan to school in ten days. Throw in both of our birthdays last week, Anne's this week, Nolan's next week, and you've got a very st...

Life is too short not to treat yourself to little vacations and other things in life once in a while. We always allow responsibility and adulthood take the lead,(and I suppose it should logically)but sometimes we need to let loose and remember that we can make time for things that make us happy! So go forth and party!
i thought . . .
I thought I'd feel guilty for taking a few days off, just for myself, to hang out with people I like playing a game that I love. I thought I'd regret staying up late, smoking cigars and tasting several different types of bourbon with my friends who I haven't seen in far too long. I thought I sho...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WIL!!!!!!!!
Nerd Prom 2007: Day Three in Brief
Today was much better than yesterday. Both of my panels were a fun (and I think the audiences enjoyed them) and I got to spend a bunch of mostly uninterrupted time getting my geek on with Ryan. "You keep calling yourself a nerd," he said to me while we ate lunch, "but you're not a nerd. You're a...
