We're playing like a pile of poo. Let us have our fun where we can.

Fresh Spaldings, or fresh Spinach. Even the spinach with the E Coli on it.

It was his first game back and he was playing with one eye. Cut the kid some slack.

The NBA officials are the worst of professional sports, even if the numbers don't back what this fella said.

I nearly had tears of joy after this win. I love these guys! Why would we ever want to trade them?

I like your play better, certainly. And I very much like The Black Keys better, though I would have picked a different song by them.

For all the talk of Avery's defense, this is where it'll be proven. I've been skeptical of it for the most part, thinking fans have made something out of very little. But if he can limit Sneaky Steve Nash then I will be a believer.

But would Person and Schremp have been an upgrade over Bird?

The demise of the Big Three is not what crippled the franchise, IMO. It was the tragic deaths of Bias and Lewis coupled with nearly 20 years of poor management from Carr, Pitino, and Wallace. The proposed players we would have received in exchange for Bird and/or McHale would not have kept us a contender.

Absolutely no way this goes down.

I've read articles arguing both sides, and I tend to agree with the Don't Trade PP argument. But that's just me.

Good points. Big name FAs don't like signing onto rebuilding situations. They need to know they can compete now, or in the very near future. If we were to trade the entire Big Three away, there's no way a Dwight Howard would come here as he would be walking into a dead end. A guy like Pierce can be a stabilizing factor here.

I didn't realize the family connection, as Wikipedia is down today. But even still, Love grew up in Oregon, not LA. And LA received a trade exception from Dallas. A trade exception can only be used in a trade and not new signings. But even if it could, it's not big enough to cover the contract Love will receive from Minny.

Just because he played college ball in LA doesn't guarantee he'll play there professionally. Especially when its a legacy school, not in his hometown, and he was a one-and-done. It means absolutely nothing. Also, the Lakers have no money to spend, so they would have to trade to acquire Kevin Love. So it's lose Bynum and/or Gasol to get Howard, or lose Bynum and/or Gasol to get Love.

And what evidence do you have of this other than a Murphy's Law mindset?

You'd think so, but we are still talking about Kahn here, so you never know.

Kevin Love would look good in green.

You're right. I shouldn't lump them together. Woj at Yahoo is a journalist and actually did his homework, asked questions, and wrote the piece. Tanguay is a commentator and is allowed to say the most extreme, off base things purely for ratings sake.

You must not have seen the other day when he was calling us all assholes and saying shit about the site. That's why I made my douchey statement.

Is that some more excellent analysis from your blog? Tell me, who are your sources?

Parrish got a ring with the Bulls. I don't think it tainted that Big Three.

Man, it is so hard to think of Pierce playing for anybody but Boston. For his legacy, it won't really matter. He will always be remembered as a Celtic. Michael Jordan will not be remembered as a Wizard. Brett Favre will not be remembered as a Viking. And if Pierce plays for someone else, he won't be remembered for that team. But, man, it would suck something awful. If a deal presents itself, DA has to consider it. If he were to leave, I would hope he would come back and play a final game in a green jersey, just so he can retire a Celtic.

What assets are there to sell? What can we get back that's more valuable than the cap space we'll have at the end of the season? Unless that answer is Dwight Howard, there's nothing there. We'll be in the Austin Rivers sweepstakes, but it won't be because of trades. It'll be because this team has very little chance at getting better.

KG is in his twilight, and the sun is nearly set. I don't think it's about energy or game shape. He's just showing his age. And since that is the case, we aren't going to win many games this year. Time to look forward to things to come. Let's give the rookies some playing time and experience, hope for some luck in the lottery, and some luck in FA as well.

Three winnable games at home, three horrible performances from Pierce. Has he just turned a corner towards retirement? Did the lockout affect him that badly? Is he hiding an injury? I don't know, but he better find out quick or he'll be joining JO on the bench to begin games. Refs were horrendous, but they weren't the reason we lost to tonight. Against the Mavs, Pierce couldn't handle the ball around Jason Terry. Tonight he couldn't shoot past Noah. I want him to retire a Celtic. He deserves it. But if he keeps playing like this, than I'm gonna start hoping that retirement comes sooner rather than later.
