Prof. Bainbridge asked : Why has liking Sarah Palin become a litmus test of one's conservative bona fides? Because the dominant ideology of the United States (both left and right) is the fiction that women are superior to men. The entire society has oriented itself to transfer wealth from men to women.
Actually, Sarah Palin is the Obama of the Right. Obama is the personification of all the pathologies of the Democrat party, and is the natural outcome of it. 1) No private sector experience. 2) Hard left ideology, and associations with Bill Ayers, Rev. Wright, etc. 3) Greatly boosted over a white male of similar qualifications. Similarly, Sarah Palin is a personification of all the pathologies of the GOP : 1) Pedestalization of women, and desire to expand the government in order to transfer wealth from men to women. 2) Greatly boosted over a man of similar qualifications (be honest about this now - no man with such a resume would be pedestalized this way). 3) The GOP is gripped by feminism to almost the same degree as the Democrats are. The only differences are topics like abortion, where the GOP has no coherent position, and certainly is not willing to hold a woman responsible for her own actions. So yes, Sarah Palin is a personification of the GOP's pathologies, just like Obama is a personification of the Democrat's pathologies.
Sarah Palin's positives : 1) She bugs the right people. 2) She is more qualified than Obama (not saying much). Sarah Palin's negatives : 1) Plays the identity politics card ('as a woman....'), which is incompatible with being a conservative. http://www.the-spearhead.com/2011/03/03/the-grizzly-truth-identity-politics-and-conservativism-don%e2%80%99t-mix/ 2) Exacerbates the issue of Republicans supporting any and all socialism as long as it is packaged as 'chivalry'. http://www.singularity2050.com/2010/11/why-republicans-will-not-shrink-government.html 3) Resigned as Gov. of Alaska.

If you ever wonder how the Brits managed to keep their empire together as long as they did, this will help explain. So why did Britain manage to colonize lands that contained Gurkhas in the first place? Gurkhas are essentially Hindu Indians with some Mongolian blood. The Genghis Khan bloodline in them explains a lot. If the US were smart, they would give greencards to Gurkhas.

Note the two rotten assumptions from those selfish women and slavish whiteknight men. 1) The woman's need for a divorce is sacred, and supercedes the well-being of the child. The reason the US had just a 10% divorce rate until the 1960s is because women could not profit from divorce (children being pawns for securing profit). 2) See how they conveniently redefine a 'traditional' upbringing as one without a father. WTF??? That is not traditional at all, but is a modern perversion that would not happen without massive government assistance to women. You need to dive back into facebook with guns blazing, and call out women for being selfish for putting their financial greed ahead of the well-being of their own children.

The average African American is 83% African genetically. The other 17% is white, native American, etc. So Nahla is about 21-23% black. Interesting fact : As per the one-drop rule, the first black President is not Barack Obama, but Warren G. Harding almost 90 years ago. Look it up. He was 1/32nd black, or something, which DID make him black under the laws of many states at the time.

Note how there were not 'custody battles' before the 1970s. There are also not 'custody battles' outside the Western World. Why? Because after the laws changed in ~1970 to give women a financial incentive to leave their husbands, divorce skyrocketed. If a woman did not have the legal means to use a child as a meal ticket for 'child support' (which is just a euphemism for alimony), women would not divorce in the first place. When people discuss these situations, they assume that divorce was a given. Not true - the divorce itself would not have happened if not for the woman profiting from it (which was not possible pre-1970). Excusing women from such selfish and narcissistic behavior is the dominant ideology in America today, supported by both left and right. Holding women to the same standard of conduct men are held to is something beyond the moral fiber of America today.

Democrats are manginas. Republicans are whiteknights. The difference between the two is not much, except that manginas actually look effete and androgynous. Whiteknights look normal, but are too stupid to see the massive contradictions their pedestalization creates.
Moe, Somehow, I don't think you would chide a woman for endangering a child, given that you want to excuse women for conduct you would never excuse a man for. You, sir, are a beta male.
I think it IS possible to see how brave SSG Guinta was on that day..... .....and still recognize that the situation he and his unit were in would not exist if we had less oppressive rules of engagement. I saw the same 60 Minutes segment you all did. As soon as I heard of that 6-mile-long valley being a place where the US could not oust the Taliban, my first reaction was : WHY CAN'T WE JUST BOMB EVERY LIVING THING TO ASHES IN THAT 6-MILE VALLEY? There are no civilians there. The Taliban does not have planes, tanks, or scud missiles! If a 6-mile valley is so troublesome that the US military cannot even seize it, that tells me our tactics are fatally flawed, and prevent us from using necessary force, more than anything else.

'Feminized' is not the right word in describing how the MOH changed. It is accurate, however, to say that it rewards damage control, rather than proactive offense. But see the link above about how the GOP has become completely beholden to feminism, without realizing it.

It is not just the medal of honor, but the entire GOP/conservative movement that has been feminized. Read this, about how the GOP will never be able to shrink government, as their need to be a needy suck-up to women makes them eager to expand government at the behest of women.
