From those options I would rather give the young legs of E'Twaun Moore a try and see more of Daniels

I think we need a little more balance in our criticism of the players and the coach. DOC did a terrible job blending in the youth the last couple of games. The bench has played well enough to not force the starters to play these kind of minutes in a back to back. And if the starters are slacking, even more reason for some energy off the bench. Doc can get mad, but he should be mad at himself for not changing his old ways at times.

Anyone else notice a direct link to the decline of the Celtics after letting Tom Thibodeau get away??

Agree. Rondo definitely needs at least one other player on the floor that can keep up with him right at the start.

It is time to change the starting unit, mixing some vets with some youth. Same thing in reserve. We cannot have all the old guys playing at once. Maybe PP and JON can come in off the bench?

Well maybe this is the year to shoot for the lottery :(

It is often just about being an underdog. Like you mentioned with Leon Powe, a second round pick with no knees. One expects the stars to do well, so it is not as exciting in unexpected terms. But when bench players surprise it is always exciting. As far as Perkins goes, it is because he loved being a Celtic and played with toughness and heart. To the fans his blood will always be green.

Doc needs to use his young bench more. Why have we not seen "Steamer" yet? E'Twaun? Heck, bring Gilbert Brown back and replace Sasha with him - anything

Maybe the league felt guilty for the ref's gifting that championship to them against us.

I would be a little bummed if we had to include both of our rooks.

Where was he during the bigger joke of the Gasol trade? Well at least they are beginning to learn that LA has had it easy with players like Shaq going to them for nothing and ridiculous trades in their favor over the years.

Poor man's Eddie House?

I agree relying on Bynum is like us trying to rely on Shaq last year

Not losing Rondo is the best news of all. PHEW!!! We had too much for a guy who did not want to play for us. Bright side is maybe Rondo can get over the losing Perk hump

Strat-O-Matic has been in existence since the 1960's I think. Yeah, I like playing teams from the past as well. Ah nostalgia..

I prefer Strat-O-Matic myself. But either way it helps privide the placebo effect. if there is one positive, it would be beneficial to an older team like the Celtics to have a shortened season. Then the rest debate will be taken care of.

If he reminds me of anyone from the film I saw is a little bit of Cedric Maxwell.

Maybe an indication they do not think Davis will stay. I like the fact he can shoot free throws. That means he is not immune to hard work. Maybe an answer to our lack of offensive rebounding. A Powe replacement?

How can Boston not love Paul Pierce? His loyalty is so rare in today's world

I am OK with Trey Thompkins or Reggie Jackson. Drafting this late I tend to look at a players Free Throw shooting. To me that is an indication of hard work and discipline. Both players are decent at the line.

Would like to get a second look at guys like Stephane Lasme, DeShawn Sims, and Chris Johnson again. Curtis Stinson, Marcus Cousin and Cedrick Jackson are also some cheap options to bring to camp.

I do not think we need to trade any of the big three. What the team needs to do is get back to defense. Arroyo, Green, Krstic, Murphy, Pav's and Wafer are all too soft. Let the starters score and the bench hold the score until they return.

I do not mind going another year with the aging stars again. But now we have a hole at center and we really need some defensive specialists on the bench. We need to look again at guys like DeShawn Sims and Lasme (affordable) in the offseason and I wish he did not trade Semih Erdan. Keep the stars in for less minutes and have a defensive minded bench. Get back to the old D

+1 One think that I do not understand is that Ainge bet this season on Shaq being healthy at the end. So it really was a matter of this season only with him. That being the case, why not keep Perk for this season only even if we may lose him next year? Now we are are left with NO center to anchor the team
