JayS : I think you could be right that its the baby. I'm English and Hunter sounds more like a name we would give to a dog than a baby but then again I forgot about Hunter S Thompson. Yep, I think you are right.
Hi sgtacosta. Hope you enjoy the movie. The first one scared me like hell. Adding a baby and a dog is a bit cynical but just means the tension will be even higher for me.
Hi Ray. It looks like you are hitting some of the stumbling blocks I had. By using only "creation=good, destruction=evil" definition we get into trouble. The definition feels right, but isn't refined enough. In order to solve it you have to move on to the higher notion of "power". Creation is one form of power and fits within this context. Your nuclear bomb example. Creation of the bomb is neither good nor evil - there is no power exchange at this time. It is a neutral act though it involves creation. The use of the bomb to prevent wars removes power from those who would use it for destruction (war) and replaces it with no power. It is an act of good therefore. (compare this with placing rapists and murderers in prison - a removal of power that is used in a destructive way is an act of good). Entropy is interesting. A scientist would say only a fool would define something as inherently natural as entropy to be evil. Yet it gradually erodes creation. Here again you need the a higher notion to explain the conundrum and one that leads us down a rat hole I fear: intent. As entropy has no intent, it cannot be said to be good or evil, simply that it exists. The conundrum here is if I do something with a good intent, but later it has an evil result (I invent a genetic crop supply to save millions from starvation then later it destroys the food chain causing millions to starve), did I commit an act of good or evil?

Hi Jim. I was away at Christmas Jim but I do agree about the new Renoma. Its rather pleasant in there and it went from being one of the worst places to shop in Wroclaw to one of the top two in my opinion. Very good shops and loads for the kids especially.

The flower thing happens in Egypt, and even with my 6 year old which is low if you ask me. However custom in Egypt is to give young girls presents in shops - tiny things. Its considered good luck and harmless and can be quite offensive if you refuse.
Just don't wear them to parties that dont involve demosceners ok ;-)
