I see what you did there. You're ditching out on Saturday before Frakes and Spiner can give you another wedgie, right? (:
My Emerald City Comicon schedule, and an ultra-limited merchandise thingy
Tomorrow, I head up to glorious Seattle for the Emerald City ComiCon. I'm doing the usual storytellings and autograph signings, though I have to leave on Saturday due to an unfortunately-timed family commitment. I'm hosting an Awesome Hour on Friday at 4pm, and I'll be on The Guild panel with Am...
My wife never used to be into gaming, but now she's actually more excited about gaming with us than I am sometimes. Geekified. (:
"In fact, I've never seen her this excited for me to go play D&D."
In my keynote to PAX East last year, I said that gaming is the foundation of, and the mortar that holds together, the strongest and longest lasting friendships in my life. I've been playing with the same guys since high school, and even though we all live in different states (and some of us live...
Will you release the spoiler quote from Felicia once the episode airs? (:
Radio Free Burrito: Episode Twenty-Eight
Holy Crap, it's time for a new episode of Radio Free Burrito! Has it really been three weeks since the last show? I guess it has. Well, I brought a note that will hopefully excuse my absence... Show Notes: The logo was designed by WWdN:iX reader Marc, who asked that I not link to his "in progr...
Cheer up little camper! You've got an awesome family and an awesome job. Many people would kill to have your problems! (:

On my patio, birds alternately sing to each other and furiously jostle for position on my bird feeders. Baby birds in a nest above my kitchen window chirp at their mother for food. The inexplicably comforting smell of wet grass rides a gentle breeze through my open window and fills my office wit...
So, where can I buy this "Wheatonesque" book of which you speak? And that "Wil Songs" album? Huh? Huh? Huh? Wait, where was I? Oh, yeah! Huh? Huh? Huh?
(Why am I suddenly reminded of Zim?) (:
Starship Spitzer presents: The Bots of Both Worlds
Many months ago, I went over to the Spitzer Science Center at Caltech to record this episode of Spaceship Spitzer. I played a (hopefully) humorous semi-parody of myself, and I also did the voice for the robot called Irwin. What I didn't know until I saw this yesterday was that Amy Okuda, who pla...
... and if that is my biggest problem, if that is what I'm worried about, well, my life is good.
That's because Wil Wheaton is made of pure Awesome Win. (:
At this point, you have so much positive karmic momentum, you could screw up HUGE over and over and over and it'd only slow you down a bit. That's what you get for sticking to it and not being a dick. (:
excerpted from Just A Geek: a sort of homecoming
As I said in my last post, I'm really excited for all of the events on my schedule at the Phoenix Comicon this weekend, especially the TNG panel, because I get to share the stage with Jonathan and LeVar. Even though I talk to LeVar fairly often, we've never spoken together at a con. Though I've ...
I remember that very well. My grandfather was one of the head electricians (at Rockwell) on both the Apollo and Space Shuttle projects. He'd retired about a year or two before the disaster, but it was still a point of pride for our family, and we watched them religiously back then. I still keep track of the missions, even now that he's been gone for a few years, and I keep close track of the future vehicle and proposals.
some of us are looking at the stars
On January 28, 1986, I was home from school with the flu. I remember that, no matter what I did, I couldn't get warm, so I was sitting in a hot bath when my mom knocked on the bathroom door. "There was an accident with the space shuttle," she said, in the same voice she used when she told me th...
