omvi: Not only are you not out of line to ask for an accounting of where all the donated money has gone, you are particularly on-target asking how much the sheister lawyer Daniel Horowitz got because a first amendment expert he ain't.
Indeed, before he filed the suit in the first place, Horowitz should have taken 15 minutes to read Wikipedia's entry under "Fair Use" Doctrine because even a cursory reading by a layman would have convinced anyone that the suit shouldn't have been brought in the first place.
Savage confused the right to free speech with the right to have listeners to his speech. Unfortunately for him, the constitution guarantees the former and not the latter.
For anyone who loves freedom, the defeat of the Savage lawsuit is a cause for celebration.
Savage hookwinked us all by telling us that this lawsuit was a cause for free speech. Yeah, it was about free speech but it was CAIR's free speech that was being infringed, not Savage's. Indeed, if Savage had prevailed, first amendment rights would have lessened for all of us.
America is such a great country that we even extend free speech to questionable organisations like CAIR. And I am surprised that anyone touting Ayn Rand and Atlas Shrugged would not be on the side of freedom in this case. Being on the side of Michael Savage is being on the side of those that Ayn Rand spent a lifetime railing against.

Savage Drops Lawsuit, CAIR Gloats......
Weak........ Conservative talk show host Michael Savage has changed his mind and is reluctantly dropping his lawsuit against an Islamic rights group that launched an advertisers' boycott after he attacked Islam and the Quran on the air, his lawyer said today. A San Francisco federal judge thr...
The latest: Our brave and courageous Mr. Savage has now pulled out of any further appeals of is lawsuit. He claims that death threats made him do this.
How convenient.
What made him quit his lawsuit was that it is totally baseless and frivolous and the further up he goes in the appeals process the louder the laughs will get from the bench.
If Michael Savage was 1/10th the champion of free speech that he has spent the last 6 months touting himself to be, he'd be willing to risk his life in the face of death threats, just as our brave men and women in the U.S. armed forces in Iraq and Afghanistan do every day.
But does anyone really believe the death threats story? Michael Savage is a whimp and a coward who promoted a lawsuit that, had it been successful, would have reduced the scope of free speech for everyone in America.
