Reminded me of a pre-Shortz, Maleska puzzle. Monarda...

Ives, Wynalda's free kick against the Swiss in '94 was important for me. It proved the US could compete at the highest level. We really hadn't til then. It was a beautful dipping ball.
We need more players like David Regis!
Hey Yinka, Does Milan get the Olive Garden coupon because Ives swiped all the KFC coupons? When you're here you're family!
Always liked him when he was a Metro. Tough, relentless defender. Good luck, Daniel.

Jorge- It's OK to mock people's disabled kids if they're Republicans. Well, gotta run and worship St. Teddy.

Thisguy- gotta agree. For a tough defender defender Pujols(sic) goes down like a cheerleader on prom night. Whiney bitch.
Who ever made the "men against boys" comment you're a jerk. BTW Sullivan giving hummers in the Barca locker room post game.
Until the Mex. game Beckerman played well. Held the ball, passed well and most importantly made himself available for outlet passes. Been missing that since Reyna. Although US does play a faster attacking style now. The question is can he play like that at a higher level, I'm afraid, probably not.
Who named the team? CONCACAF officials? Cooper is an odd choice, must be stats only.
Toumba, gotta say I liked Wynalda too. Refreshingly honest. DelCamera is ok... play by play guy that's all. At least he is familiar with the game (10 yrs in NY). Rae and Healy are OK as is Martino for color. Sillivam knows alot but is too pedantic and overbearing (McCarver Dierdorf). He's alittle too much with the pronounciations ( yeah, we get it you're multi-lingual congrats). In NYC we get Shep Messing for color, pray he does'nt go nation wide.
I second that thought, Seth( without the Jif). Would like K. Martino to get more work. Thought he was good the few times I heard him.
Hey Annen Berg, What's with the shot against Baptists? Any other religions don't meet with your sophisticated approval? Oh I get it, conservative religious types are too dumb to appreciate the beautiful game, Typical arrogance.
Your Tee, Union Jack with Greece? Please 'splain.

Madmax- excellent point about handballs. Felt sorry for Petke, played hard for RB/MS for years and now this.
Hi, I print them out, prefer the portability. Plus, started doin them in the paper.

Sooo... anyone who disagrees with Iammetro is a fool. Maybe he should get his own site so we can all bask in his vastly superior soccer knowledge. BTW some of Beckham's 60yd passes to a running Giggs 10 or so years ago is some of the most beautiful soccer I've ever seen. Oooops forgot they're Brits, it was ugly.
DCJosh- the other day you were telling me how deep we were in Midfield. What gives?
Goalscorer24- Bradley Jr yelling=thuggish Mexican asst hitting= merely passionate
Ben- excellent point. English speaking= ugly football. All others= strong, determined or crafty. If the US wants to play at a high level, Bradley is as important or more than any player we field.
DC Josh saying Donovan and Bradley are interchangeable is less than accurate. One attacks primarily the other defends as a priority. There is a big drop off after Bradley Edu (Jones?). Clark is not at their level. Sure they were OK in the first half... the second with out Bradley...uh oh. Was not the case against Spain. None of the MFs could win a ball and pass to LD Dempsey or a forward. No one defended til the Brazilians were within 22 yds. Compare 2nd half of that game to Spain. We need Defensive Mids who can handle the ball and are not stupid thugs Rico and Sascha.

Gotta disagree with all you guys who say we are deep at midfield. Midfield was hurting badly when Bradley missed the final. If we are so deep how does one player missing comprimise the whole middle of the field?

Steve C- Sullivan is always expressing man-love. It's made him unlistenable. I'd rather Tommy Smyth.
