I'm a PHP programmer by trade. *Ducks* I loved this article, and in many ways you are right. If someone came up with a coherent alternative to PHP we would all be using it. But really, nothing comes close to it's ease of use. PHP has many faults, but the things that it does do well, it does the best. I would be interested, what do you have in mind? What would make a good programming language for the web in your eyes? What would you do better then PHP? You have the ear of a lot of programming, you might be able to make this happen.
