The spoof of the white board quit was epic! I LOLed throughout. *g* I agree with the above comments about media restrictions in Canada. I live 18 blocks from the US border in BC, yet there are so many things I cannot access online. Friends and websites will direct me to a link to see a trailer or clip from some show, I'll click on it and... oops sorry, (insert company/product/network name here) is not available in your area. It gets very frustrating. The fact that you actually purchased the right to watch something and then were unable to do so due to your current location is even more ridiculous! I wonder if the reverse will hold true when I visit the US later this month... will the things I bought here in Canadaland refuse to play while I'm there? While you check out CBC's podcasts, make sure you check out Stuart McLean's Vinyl Cafe podcasts too. Full of music and funny short stories about fictitious record store owner Dave and his wife Morley. Definitely worth a listen. http://www.cbc.ca/vinylcafe/ http://www.cbc.ca/podcasting/includes/vinylcafe.xml

Anything TARDIS related? *eg* My friend made a TARDIS lantern for the Vancouver Folk Music Festival this year: http://flic.kr/p/8k69Mj http://flic.kr/p/8k2X88 We also had a Dalek and K-9: http://flic.kr/p/8k2XBF I built Serenity in lantern form, so I can honestly say "she's still flying!" http://flic.kr/p/8k67Uu http://flic.kr/p/8k2VLe

FYI: at the Museum of Anthropology, they quite often have an artist in residence who will be working right in the middle of the gallery. When at UBC, I took a course that happened to meet in the MoA & over 4 months watched a totem pole come to life. Very cool.

I definitely agree that you simply must "use the special kids entrance" at Granville Island Kids Market! Also while there, check out the Crystal Ark just outside!

Walk the Sea Wall around Stanley Park. Visit the VAG (Vancouver Art Gallery). Go to the Museum of Anthropology at UBC. Lots of Haida art there. And totem poles. *g* While you're at UBC you could take a stroll through the Japanese garden there... Get your zen on. Granville Island... If the weather is nice, go up to Grouse Mountain. Ohh yeah, welcome to BC!
