Thanks for the shout out Drew. Glad people are finding the list helpful. In the actual 3-hour workshop that was the basis for the blog post, we only made it through half of these.

Thanks for the great overview here. Steal away! As we say for our blog best practices, one of the goals is for our ideas to spread. Cheers Joe

Great list Kari. It's an honor to be included in the list. I think I need to outsource reading many of these though (is that even possible?). Thanks again Joe

Thanks Chris...the economic downturn has created an opportunity for corporate marketers to really shake things up. Wish it was under better circumstances, but would have happened sooner or later. Thanks for the post. Joe

So many good ones to choose from. I Valeria Maltoni's has been really sticking with me for some reason...content execution will take priority over content strategy. Of course, it's tough to have execution without a good strategy, but most companies just aren't pushing their content processes and getting it out there. I think 2009 is the year we really see that kick into high gear. All content marketing success comes down to execution at the end of the day. Thanks for your prediction as well. Of course, I agree with you. Joe

Great post and comments. I think the key with content marketing is that marketers need to listen, set up "listening posts" through social media, and actually understand what a customer's informational needs are. Once that is done, it's very possible to tell a relevant engaging story. I like what David said in the video - "content marketing is about offering something of value that is not your product in order to start a relationship." Well said David!
