All I could think of while watching this clip was all of the bad variety shows I suffered through as a young child of the 70's. Even at the tender age of five, I knew I was watching simply awful television. I did, however, watch the hell out of Pee-Wee Herman's HBO special in the early 80's. I don't know why, but I was completely drawn to it. I was 10 when it first saw it in 1982, and my parents were cool enough to let me watch it. I knew I was watching something that was kind of taboo, yet it was still funny to me.

I bet it feels good to be beyond "Teen Idol", though.

Also, for the record, if I could wish Wil to be insanely rich, I would. I've enjoyed his work, acting and writing, for many years. I already owned "Just A Geek", when I purchased a second copy in May 2005 as part of a fundraiser to help with vet bills for Felix, Sketch and Ferris. By the way, I'm sorry for your loss... We paid $50 for a book we already owned, personally autographed, but one we owned, nonetheless. (I'm not a creepy fangirl, btw. I had to revisit the letter included with the book to get all of my facts straight)

My favorite Christmas movie of all time. LOVED how you blew up your Twitter account Christmas Eve with all of the quotes. You must have seen it at least three times in a row that night.

Actually, I was quoting "A Christmas Story". When Ralphie gets his Little Orphan Annie decoder pin in the mail, he's so excited to be part of the secret society, able to decode messages from Annie, herself. He finds out quickly that the messages are only advertisements in disguise. His first message? "Be sure to drink your Ovaltine"

Ovaltine? A crummy commercial? Son of a BITCH!

As a 15 year old girl, I wasn't much for sci-fi shows, but I knew of you, and was a fan of your prior work, so I figured I'd give it a shot. To my surprise, I loved it. Not just watching someone my age on a tv show... I genuinely looked forward to watching TNG every week. I continued to watch after you left. I know you hated the grey spacesuit, but it didn't represent anything to us, as fans, other than Wesley's uniform.

We were able to buy a couple of presents for the kids, btw.

We, like many others, have had a hell of a year. My husband, Jeff, is a web developer who lost his job in March. He remained unemployed for eight months. We have two small children, so it was really important for us to keep our house that we've lived in for 7.5 years. That, and that alone is our Christmas present to each other this year. I felt every word of this story as I was reading it...
