I've listened to a lot of people make the sort of libertarian argument that well, they don't much like the idea of corporate monopolies controlling the internet's physical infrastructure, but damn it! I don't want "The Government's" filthy regulatory hands all over it either! But none of this group has answered (or asked?) the obvious question: if not via public policy, how do you plan on avoiding monopolization? Shall we just ask them nicely?
