36**2013 - crochet eggs -
Ever since I laid eyes on Tracy's Easter eggs jar I have had eggs-envy. I HAD to have an egg jar too. But I can't knit as well as she can. Sigh. I guess I can crochet though. And I can fill a jar anyday. (WHAT??? google reader is retiring? and then what? help!)
tonight, Milena whinged about always having to turn the lights off, even her brother's bedroom light. When my husband pointed out to her, "does mum complain when she makes your lunches everyday? when she washes your clothes? when she picks up your shoes?" I had to interrupt him and say..ummm not the best example. I actually do complain...openly, loudly, repeatedly. It makes me feel OK with it all. I'm caring less and less as they grow older. I'm finding that I am becoming happier with being more truthful to myself. Friends and children.
Of course, I could be mistaken.

i had a list of similar chores pre Christmas and I have managed to complete some of them, and it has felt rewarding. But I still have so many, it is never ending. I am child free and husband free for about 4 days this coming weekend. I can't wait.
More icecream
Because it's hot, not record-breaking Australia hot, but hot, and the girls didn't want biscuits or fruit for their afternoon tea. Nathan was out drift-carting, so I indulged them. Had he been home I would have indulged them. I wanted ice cream too. I don't feel proud of myself when I eat too ...

121//2012 {{dead simple lace socks}}
Dead simple - with a couple of mistakes when I forgot the pattern watching "The Hunger Games" on a plane (sock one) and "Downton Abbey" (sock two). From the book "Socks from the toe-up". Two balls of Lang yarn "Yawoll Superwash", in pale grey. 2.25mm needles as usual. Short row heels. Very wa...
