Ok. You just made a lightbulb turn on in my head. Duh! when the Seattle drizzle gets to be too much for me, I go to the gym (it's really tiny, with 2 treadmills...at our golf course) and walk on the treadmill there. And there is always some guy (usually my husband...) watching Sports Center on the tv. HOW did I not think of this?!?!? I could totally take my Ipad and plug in my headphones. Game. Changer.
And I like to walk outside and breath real air...only ever listen to books on Players I get at the library. A good book, and I will walk 5 miles easy.

Awwww Cathy- I remember when my big boy went to 5th grade camp up at Warm Beach, and there was no such thing as Skype. Ha! Or anything close. And then he went to Leadership camp at Mount Olympus (somewhere on the south side of Mt Rainier....no cell towers....), and I agonized for days. Luckily he is at the UofW and my anxiety has lessened...and you're right, how do the Missionary Mom's do it?!!??!

the other day i was playing with the babies. the bigs were outside with j. harper came running in SCREAMING "MOMMMYYYYYY! COME SEEEE! YOU WON'T BELIEVE IT!!!!". and when i came outside i didn't believe it. she finally learned how to ride her bike without training wheels. i thought this day might...
We downloaded an app called Boost Magic - seems to help a little. Back/hip pain -aughhh! I call it my pregnancy pain - 21 years ago it started. And I swear the spot where I had my epidurals is so sore and achy sometimes. Acupuncture helped my dad with is hip pain....but I just told my husband the other day I may need a new hip!

I can only partly identify...I'm a bookkeeper and I just took on my 4th account - 4 different versions of Quickbooks on 4 very different computers, in 4 very different settings. And for some reason I can't say "no" to my PTA president, so I wear 3 hats at my daughter's school right now. Keeps me a little schizophrenic ;)

Ahhh....#4 has been tough for me, and this is his junior year at the U! And I get very little sympathy from my friends/family, since my kid is only 45 minutes away - my boss's daughter is going to school in Germany and my goddaughter is in Hawaii. 1. go on a cruise. 2. celebrate Christmas. and Iz's birthday. and Belle's birthday. 3. welcome 2012. 4. plan for Luke's graduation and party. (gulp!) That last one just muddled my brain. I can't think anymore. Off to cry.
We just had this conversation the other day...my 21 yo is in college and studying DNA right now. Scares me! Like they've found that smoking affects your DNA. Let alone the flame retardant stuff. And don't get me started on lotion I cringe when I see sunscreen sprayed on babies. Yikes!!! I've just started exploring, but really appreciate this post and am committed!
