I bought Sunken Treasure immediately when you released it as a PDF on LuLu.
I have now bought *all* of your Kindle books - including re-buying Sunken Treasure so I could have it on the go ... and to support you.
But I would like to read the rest of your book - but don't do that whole 'paper' thing. Between the dead trees and the bulk, no thanks.

shameless self promotion
It is said that an artist's works sell as well as the artist promotes them. I struggle with this reality, because while it's simple and enjoyable for me to link to my wife's friend's store, or my friend's wife's Etsy shop, it feels weird and kind of gross to me when I promote my own stuff. But I...
"You wouldn't steal a car..."
That is the one ... after my kids asked me about that the first time and my wife and I explained about piracy and whatnot, it has become a joke -
You wouldn't stick a crowbar in your ear canal!
omg pirates
I really hate it when I put a DVD into my DVD player, and before I can actually get to the fucking movie I paid to watch, I have to sit through a big bunch of stupid, time-consuming, not-the-movie bullshit. I can skip those stupid trailers for movies that will be out of date in six months easil...

I remember seeing the pilot and thinking that Picard was going to be a short-timer, since Frakes looked to be the young womanizer captain type. When it became clear by the end of the 'we stretched this to 2 episodes because ... um ... ' pilot, I was a bit unsure, but certainly by the time this episode came on I was sold - Patrick Stewart was just plain brilliant.
I love your 're-views', since they really bring me back 20 years. The first season had me finishing undergrad school - and I think I was one of few who didn't hate Wesley. But I did have feelings at times which my kids now describe as 'uh oh, he has THE LOOK'!
the picard maneuver
I feel like I've told this story before, but I don't think I've ever written it down in my blog, so here's something that was cut from this week's TNG review of The Battle: The "Picard Maneuver," in this script refers to a pretty cool strategic move that Picard uses to defeat the Ferengi ship an...

Last week seeing George Takei's face I said 'YES' and that was one of the things I was looking forward to most (as someone who was almost done with undergrad school by the time TNG started I had totally geeked on Star Trek)! Great show, though I worry about the whole Ali Larter plotline ...
oh my. Heroes really is that good.
As long as I'm talking about television last night, how great was Heroes? I know George Takei in real life, and he is an incredibly wonderful man. Like everyone who has been on Star Trek and played a memorable character, he's been heavily associated with that bit of work, even though he's got a ...

Every week I force myself to watch some of Studio 60 because it has that 'could be great' feel ... but ultimately I think that the only reasons it is still on the air are:
- It grabs enough 'draft' from Heroes to give the impression people are watching.
- It feels like an insider show by and for insiders ... like a local fave. If they threatened to cancel it, there would be an uproar from columnists in LA and NYC and the sound of crickets from everywhere else ...
- They need to have an episode called 'Death Spiral' ... or maybe just retitle last night's ...
okay, NBC, let's talk about it.
All last week, the NBC promos kept saying, "America will be talking about" last night's Studio 60, The Harriet Dinner (Part Two) Uh, did they mean America would be talking about what an incredibly lame episode it was? How cliché-filled and predictable it was? About how they ended the most cliché...

Poor Wesley ...
they're baaaaack
It looks like the hideous sweaters I wore on TNG are making some kind of terrifying comeback. Speaking from experience, anyone wearing one of these things will find themselves unable to engage in conversation with any members of the opposite sex; on the other hand, they will find themselves abl...

Wonderful read ... made much longer by clicking link after link ... I have typically read only the snippits here rather than the whole episode reviews (shame, I know) - glad I read this one!
I was a senior in college, and we had a huge empty room in the fraternity that we turned into the '3rd floor lounge' - and I remember distinctly crowding in for the pilot. It wasn't great, and was rather slow ... but it felt like 'home'. I got my wife into it later and we watched reruns in our first apartment, and now my kids are getting into it. Despite growing up with the original series, TNG is my fave. And though I wish you got better lines, I never wanted to kill you ;)
TNG Review at TV Squad: Encounter At Farpoint (part one)
I've had a lot of fun watching old TNG episodes and reviewing them for TV Squad, and so does the audience, according to the feedback I've gotten from readers . I started with Naked Now, and I've been working my way forward, because it's fun to go chronologically and see how we evolved, but a lot...
