Hi Ace... Hope you are doing well. 44 Monroe is no longer a condo development... it is a luxury apartment building now. The have a leasing office in the lobby and have already leased out over 30% of the units. There are still a few units that are condos; these are the ones that were bought when the project first opened. I plan on posting something about 44 Monroe and another proposed apartment complex in the next week on our http://www.UrbanConnectionRealty.com site.

Hi Ace, 44 Monroe failed to rebound as a luxury condo project. The new owners decided to convert it to rentals. As a luxury rental property it is doing very well. I understand they started accepting leases a bit over a month ago and already have leased over 30% of the units.

You are right about me not knowing what your life is like. That said, the government isn't going to help tenants with scumbags that are trying to to scam tenants. Knowing your rights helps and being very cautious. Good luck.
