It's like old-fashioned "moving pictures" with cheesy music and captions!

One of my husband's shipmates literally forced us to rent it one night, and by the end we were actually exhausted from laughing so hard! I would spout off "fav lines" but there are waaaay too many to include in a concise and coherent comment, lol.

BTW, in my head, I totally read your "I know the infinite combo..." quote in an awesomely high-pitched nasally voice, followed by a good 'NERRRR'. :D

Oh man, I know the type! I know someone who built a deck completely around an infinite-turn combo with a Temporal Manipulation - on a Panoptic Mirror - combined with a Doubling Cube. Many of the cards in that deck are, of course, centered around searching for those 3 cards, and then all he needs is a 1/1 creature and he wins.

Also, what bad form for him to assume his opponent is backed into a corner, starting to pick up his cards like that! In all of his rules-mongering, doesn't he know that in MGT there's always...always...ALWAYS the possibility of hearing those accursed two words "In response...", no matter freaking what?! :P

First, I am appalled that a MTG combo-whore did not understand the mechanics of Disenchant, as it clearly states on the card itself that it destroys target ARTIFACT OR ENCHANTMENT, the Grieves of course qualifying as an artifact. He is forthwith stripped of his "mechanics- and combo-whore" title for that disappointing blunder. Second, I would venture to argue that 'combo-whoring' for purposes of deck-building is just good strategy, as opposed to just cold rules-mongering. After all, it is a trading-card game, right? Getting the right cards and combinations to draw from in your deck is a huge part of the game! Although I must admit, I do enjoy actually playing a bit more than my obsessive deck-building husband, lol. Sometimes I wonder if he even likes playing the game at all, or if he'd be content to just go over numbers and mechanics and build decks all day....

Once I was playing a swashbuckler with a friend of mine, who played a pretty amazing half-orc fighter. While on my ship, we were killing some time, and I was playing my pennywhistle when I realized Gurg had nothing to do. I offered the whistle to him for some entertainment, at which point he held it to his lips, but hesitated. "I...I *can't*", he says. "What? That's crazy; pennywhistle's easy, just blow!" "No, really-" my friend says out-of-character. "I really cannot even try. You can't make a perform check untrained." Role-playing ends; discussion regarding exactly how any character ever earns ranks in performing anything if you're not *allowed* to touch an instrument or attempt to dance/sing ensues.

Aw, you're too sweet a person. I always worry that I'll look back on these years and be a little miffed that I wasted them worrying about stuff, but like you said...sometimes it's necessary. And sometimes the most difficult of ordeals are the most worth it. It's so pseudo-cliche, but true. Kudos for making a very private journey public. :)

Last I heard, D3 is being released after SC2's release next month, but before SC2's first expansion...but I don't think there's been a date set for that yet. I haven't heard an exact date from Blizzard yet, but I also haven't checked in the past couple days.

In my very few years of theatre I remember those performances where I gave my absolute all during the performance, met with the audience afterward for awhile and went out with the cast all while high on that adrenaline rush from the great show...and how absolutely exhausted I was after that. I don't know how you guys do it so often, but I know (kind of) where you're coming from!
