It has now become my favorite movie of all time & I have seen thousands of movies being a movie freak. I have seen it in 3D five times & could watch it 100 more if that was possible. I will buy the blu-ray DVD the second it comes out & hope they put a lot of the deleted scenes back in for an extended version even if it is 4 or 5 hours! I listen to the score when I can & read the script they made available online. Now I can't wait for the sequel to be made, I just hope it doesn't take more than 2 years.

Thank you so much for posting that deleted shot of him outside the bar. I got to read the script online & would have loved it if that scene had not been cut. I noticed in the beginning of the trailer at the official site a cut scene of him in the bar too. I understand for time reasons why they edited it like they did, but it shows a side of Jake that makes sense to his character later on. All we are shown in the beginning is that he is a gung ho ex Marine that is determined to pass any test. I really hope there will be an extended version of the DVD with a lot of the deleted scenes put back in. I don't care if it is 5 hours long either. I am keeping my fingers crossed!

Avatar has now become my favorite film of all time & I have seen literally thousands of movies in my life, being a movie freak. I have seen Avatar 5 times (all in 3D), but could see it every day if it was possible. I listen to the score every time I get a chance. I got to read the script that was made public online by Fox which was excellent & now hope they put a lot of those deleted scenes into the DVD in an extended version. I don't care if it is 5 hours long either! Can';t wait for the sequel & hope we get it by 2012 if not sooner.

Absolutely Oscar worthy. The characters had me in tears several times, that isn't just CGI, damn it. Zoe & Sam's expressions are what made this movie incredible. You could see their passion & emotions in their eyes as well as their expressions in their faces. Not to mention the superb physical acting that they both did.
Check out the total CGI movie, Beowulf, they did not do the same thing & their expressions looked wooden & fake even though they looked weirdly like the actors' faces.
Avatar is phenomenal & deserves the Oscar for best picture, best director, best score, best song, (all of the technical best Oscars), & I wish they would nominate both Zoe & Sam for best actress & actor. I also agree with what Steve said above too about CCoBB. That is very true.
AVATAR’s Neytiri: Oscar-Worthy Acting or Just CGI?
The debate rages over whether AVATAR's performance capture is true performance for the Oscars and other awards. Cameron's actors had to work hard to make AVATAR's action look real, but it wasn't enough to impress the Screen Actors Guild, which didn't even nominate AVATAR actors this year. Maybe...
